Press mold
A press mold for forming a panel, may include an upper die for vertically operating by an upper press, and having a mounting recess recessed upward at a lower surface central portion, a lower die disposed under the upper die, and configured to the vertically operate by a lower press, an upper pad disposed in a center portion of the mounting recess, and formed with an upper forming surface at a lower surface edge portion, a lower steel disposed under the upper pad, mounted on the lower die, and formed with a lower forming surface at an upper surface edge portion of the lower steel corresponding to the upper forming surface, and an upper steel mounted on the upper die at a position exterior to the lower forming surface.
Modular tooling for axle housing and manufacturing process
A modular tooling die for an axle housing includes a plurality of separable and coaxially aligned die sets. Each die set may include a cam driver that is engageable with first and second cam slide assemblies. The cam slide assemblies move toward one another along an axis that extends perpendicularly to an axis along which the cam driver translates. Multiple die sets are provided for possible use in a single press depending on the particular axle housing geometry to be manufactured. A wide variety of different geometrical configurations may be formed by simply replacing one or more die sets and inserting a differently sized or shaped blank within the press. A method of manufacturing various axle housings and the associated modular tooling is described.
PROCESS FOR MANUFACTURING A METAL PART
A process for manufacturing a metal part (10), is described said part extending in a first direction (Y) and having a section comprising a central member (14) and at least a first side member (16) extending in a second direction. The process comprises the following steps: supply of a metal blank (30); removing material from the blank so as to form an intermediate part (32) comprising the central member (14), a junction zone (12) and at least first (116) and second (118) intermediate side members, with a space (34) between the first and second intermediate side members; and hot forming (104) the intermediate part, including spreading the first and second intermediate side members apart by inserting a first punch (212) between said members.

HOT-STAMPED TRIM COMPONENT
A hot-stamped and trimmed part is produced by hot pressing a blank and then cutting off an excess outer peripheral portion by laser machining, an outer peripheral shape of the hot-stamped and trimmed part includes a laser trim line formed by cutting in the laser machining, and a press trim line formed by shearing in the hot pressing or pressing performed before the hot pressing, and the laser trim line and the press trim line are connected via a projecting corner portion.

Forged Wheel Trimming Die
An improved forged wheel trimming die, including a connecting rod, a lower die base lower plate, a bottom plate, a stripper guide pillar, a knockout rod, an ejector block, a lower die base stiffened plate, a lower die base upper plate, a lower die, a stripper plate, follow-up retainer plates, a shearing blade and a trimming rod. The improved forged wheel trimming die has the advantages that by adding two follow-up retainer plates to the stripper plate of the die, burrs of a forged wheel blank are constrained along the radial direction during the cutting, thereby avoiding breakage due to excessive deformation; in this way, the burrs can be protected from damage and knocked out successfully by the knockout rod after being cut off from the blank.
A METHOD FOR FORMING A DEEP DRAW CLOSURE CAP
A method for forming a deep draw closure cap includes draw forming a first cup from a planar sheet of a metal material defining a base thickness. The first cup comprises a first cup base, a first cup wall, and an open end. A first redrawing of the first cup is performed to form a first redrawn cup including a first redrawn cup base, a first redrawn cup wall, and an open end. The first redrawn cup is passed through an ironing die to reduce a thickness of the first redrawn cup wall adjacent to the open end.
METHOD AND DEVICE FOR PRODUCING A HALF-SHELL PART
The invention relates to a method for producing a half-shell part with a drawing punch and a drawing die. The object of providing a method for the process-reliable and cost-effective production of highly dimensionally stable half-shell parts is achieved in that, in a single work step, the drawing punch is advanced into the drawing die, a sheet metal blank is preformed into a sheet metal raw part with at least one base section, at least one frame section and optionally a flange section, wherein during the preforming with the drawing punch a material excess is introduced either into the base section and the frame section or into the optional flange section of the sheet metal raw part, and the sheet metal raw part is finished to form a half-shell part and calibrated.
