A method of applying a marking to a part in a stamping die includes moving a component of the stamping die, the component having a mechanical application device secured thereto. A controlled volume of a marking medium flows through the mechanical application device during the moving such that a volume of the marking medium is controlled by the moving of the component during a stamping die operation. In one form, the component is an upper die of the stamping die.
Value stream process for forming vehicle rails from extruded aluminum tubes
A value stream process or method for forming vehicle rails from extruded aluminum tubes includes the steps of extruding an aluminum tube and hydroforming the extruded aluminum tube into a vehicle rail. More specifically, the method includes extruding the aluminum tube, bending the aluminum tube, preforming the aluminum tube, hydroforming the aluminum tube into a vehicle rail, trimming the vehicle rail to length and then artificially aging the rail followed by batch chemical pretreatment. In an alternative embodiment the artificial aging and batch chemical pretreatment processes are performed in reverse order. In either of the embodiments, localized induction annealing to recover formability may be performed between bending and preforming, between preforming and hydroforming or both.
Method of manufacturing cylindrical battery case having reduced surface roughness
A method of manufacturing a cylindrical battery case includes performing an ironing process, which is one of the processes of manufacturing the battery case, a plurality of times in order to decrease the surface roughness of the battery case, thereby improving the corrosion characteristics of the battery case. The surface roughness of the cylindrical battery case is decreased by performing a thickness reducing process when a process for forming the outer circumferential surface of a body of the cylindrical battery case is performed at the time of manufacturing the cylindrical battery case. In addition, corrosion characteristics are improved for respective values of the surface roughness.

The present invention discloses a burner, a gas water heater and a processing method of fire row, wherein the burner comprising: a plurality of fire rows; an air channel is formed between at least two fire rows; the fire row has a burning substrate; the burning substrate is provided with main burning holes; the burning substrate is further provided with auxiliary burning holes downstream of the main burning holes; at least one the auxiliary burning hole is disposed on at least one side of the main burning hole in a length direction of the burning substrate; flame of the auxiliary burning hole intersect with flame of the main burning hole; and a frame for mounting the fire rows. The burner, the gas water heater and the processing method of the fire rows disclosed in the present invention can help to decrease flame height, facilitate manufacturing and reduce costs.

Disclosed herein is a method for assembling a module for a motor vehicle engine, which module comprises at least one supporting structure with bearing seats and at least one camshaft which is mounted rotatably in the bearing seats, the camshaft being constructed during the assembly of the module from a support shaft which is configured at least in sections as a hollow shaft and components which are to be connected to the support shaft at predefined joining positions. The method includes providing a supporting structure having bearing seats, positioning components to be affixed to a support shaft in a preliminary position with respect to the bearing seats, pushing the support shaft through the bearing seats and through-openings of the components, enlarging portions of the outer diameter of the support shaft at defined joining positions thereof, and axially moving the components on the support shaft onto the joining positions.

A container system and a method for forming a knob in a container. The container system includes a container, in particular a medical or surgical sterile container preferably having a tub-like container vessel and/or a container cover; at least one separate coupling element; and at least one coupling system for releasably connecting the coupling element to the container. The coupling system includes a male coupling portion formed on the container and a female coupling portion formed on the coupling element. The coupling portions can be coupled to and uncoupled from one another. The male coupling portion is integrally formed in a wall of the container and is designed as a protruding knob having an undercut.
