BALLOON EXPANDED POLYMER STENT
A medical device includes a polymer stent (or scaffold) crimped to a catheter balloon. The stent, after being expanded from a crimped state by the balloon, provides a crush recovery of about 90% of its expanded diameter after being pinched or crushed by an amount equal to about 50% of the expanded diameter. The stent has a pattern including a W-shaped or W-V shaped closed cell and links connecting the closed cells.
Tube compression fitting and flared fitting used with connection body and method of making same
A high pressure tube compression fitting/flared fitting for use in combination with a thick-walled tube and a connection body wherein a sleeve is in engagement with a thick-walled tube. The sleeve is generally cylindrically shaped with the exterior thereof coated and then etched. The sleeve includes a first and second sharp inner circumferential biting edges which interengage and bite into and through the exterior of the end portion of the thick-walled tube and into the wall portion of the end portion of the thick-walled tube without narrowing the passageway through the thick-walled tube. The process for making the fitting includes placing an end portion of the thick-walled tube into engagement with a tube engaging surface of a tapered generally cylindrical wall of a guide rod.
PEX crimping tool
A power tool includes a motor having an output shaft, an extensible member driven by the motor, a working assembly movable in response to contact with a distal end of the extensible member, a first sensor configured to detect a home position of the extensible member, a second sensor configured to detect rotation of the motor output shaft, and a controller in electrical communication with the first and second sensors. The controller is configured to drive the motor output shaft in a first rotational direction a predetermined number of revolutions counted by the second sensor, thereby displacing the extensible member from the home position. The controller is also configured to drive the motor output shaft in an opposite, second rotational direction to thereby return the extensible member until the home position is detected by the first sensor.

Turned-down centralizer sub assembly
A centralizer assembly and method for manufacturing a centralizer assembly. The centralizer assembly includes a mandrel including a first raised region having a first diameter, and a turned-down region having a second diameter, the second diameter being smaller than the first diameter. The centralizer assembly also includes a first stop segment extending at least partially around the mandrel in the turned-down region, and a centralizer disposed at least partially in the turned-down region. The first stop segment is received between axial extents of the centralizer, to limit a range of motion of the centralizer relative to the mandrel.
RADIAL PRESS
A radial press comprises a housing having a lateral portion and a supporting disk on the end face. A ring-like structure extends in the housing and can be displaced along a pressing axis. Multiple pressing jaws arranged around the axis are radially movably supported on the supporting disk. The ring-like structure acts upon the jaws with control faces angled relative to the axis and are seated against counter-faces of the jaws. The angle of the control faces changes as they progress in the axial direction, such that, along the maximum path of travel of the ring-like structure, the axial movement of said structure and the radial movement of the jaws produced thereby are at different ratios. The ring-like structure has exchangeable control elements on which control faces are provided. In planes perpendicular to the pressing axis, each control face is seated on a polygon having corners arranged between adjacent jaws.
Rotary crimping tool assembly
A rotary crimping tool assembly includes a tool housing defining a crimping chamber, and one or more crimp wheels within the crimping chamber. The crimping chamber is configured to receive the portion of the structure in proximity to the crimp wheel(s). The crimp wheel(s) are configured to be pressed into and rotated relative to the portion of the structure to form one or more crimps in the portion of the structure.
METHOD OF MANUFACTURING PIPE ASSEMBLY
A pipe assembly includes an inner pipe member and an outer pipe member that is externally fixed to an end portion of the inner pipe member. The inner pipe has a thickness that is less than that of the outer pipe which is placed outside the end portion of the inner pipe member. An additional fixture member is placed outside the portion where the inner and outer pipes are fitted to each other. While the inner pipe, the outer pipe, and the additional fixture are in this state, an electromagnetic coil is placed inside the inner pipe at a position where the outer pipe and the additional fixture are to be fixed. The diameter of the inner pipe increases by applying a pulse current to the electromagnetic coil. The diameter of the outer pipe increases by the action of force applied when the diameter of the inner pipe is increased.
