An active sitting chair is provided that encourages a sitter/user to sit actively by requiring balance adjustments and core engagement. The active sitting chair can be efficiently produced while being relatively sturdy and lightweight. The main body may be a monocoque shell that includes a rounded lower portion that contacts the surface the chair is on and promotes wobble of the chair when a sitter is seated on the chair. The chair may also include built-in handles for ease of lifting and a seat portion at the top of the chair that may include a cushion or similar component for increasing the stability and/or comfort of a sitter. The chair may also include a plurality of counterpart bosses and divots on opposing sides to facilitate stable stacking of the cylindrical active chairs.

Sitting closer to the ground, cross-legged, and/or kneeling enables the brain to easily enter a parasympathetic mode, providing users of the seat system a greater sense of calmness. The Multi-Angle Knee blocks (MAKs) offer a greater level of hip support for users.

A modular seat and method of assembling the same are provided. The modular seat includes a first seating component having one or more seating component attachment apertures. The modular seat also includes a first arm component having a first arm component shelf support configured to be received by one of the seating component attachment apertures. The battery compartment is secured in a first compartment in the body. In addition, the first compartment and the speaker may be in the headrest, or armrest, or in a removable pillow. Further, the battery box is secured in a second compartment in the body, wherein the battery is rechargeable and the speaker unit is connected to the battery as a power source, or to a solar power source. Alternatively, the speaker units may be wireless. The present invention also provides inflatable furniture having an inflatable body, and a built-in or removable speaker unit being secured in a first compartment in the body. A second compartment is provided for the power source.

Electrified lounge furniture formed from joined furniture sections. Each furniture section includes a lounge back, a seat and a base. The seat is designed to be selectively pivotable away from the base. When the furniture sections are joined to each other, an electrical wiring assembly extends between the furniture sections to provide electrical power to each of the furniture sections. Each of the furniture sections includes at least one electrical outlet. The electrical wiring assembly is received on the base of each of the furniture sections and is concealed beneath the seat during normal usage. When the user desires access to the electrical wiring assembly, one or more of the seats can pivot away from the base to provide access to the electrical wiring assembly. After the electrical wiring assembly has been accessed, the seat can pivot back into contact with the base where it is securely held to both the base and the lounge back.
