An elongated intermediate member connects the front of the seat to the rear of an upper substantially planar desk. The connections between the intermediate member and the seat and between the intermediate member and the desk are made through the use of hinges that allow the angles between them to be adjusted. The hinges include locks for locking the seat and/or desk to be locked in numerous different positions. As a result, the distance between the seat and desk can be adjusted as can the angles between them. Even further, the combined seat and desk can be folded into a collapsed condition for ease of storage or carrying.

A foam-based seat and an enclosure for a foam-based seat is provided. The foam-based seat includes a base, main body, a cutout opening formed in the main body, fitted fabric configured to encase the main body, and a removable nesting insert configured to friction fit within the cutout opening. The removable nesting insert can be inserted into the cutout opening, or removed, to provide a myriad of seating arrangements. The foam-based seat may constitute a variety of geometries, including one embodiment that is square with a square removable nesting insert, and another embodiment that is round with an expanded base and a circular nesting insert. A rebounding device includes a front member, a rear member, and a junction member releasably coupling the front member and the rear member is disclosed. The junction member enables the front member and the rear member move between a collapsed position and an expanded position, and the front member is movable relative to the rear member during a rocking motion when the junction member is in the expanded position. In one embodiment, the junction member comprises a ratchet gear, a spring-loaded pawl configured to engage the ratchet gear and prevent rotation thereof, and a torsion spring. Application of pressure by a user against the front member causes the front member to move toward the rear member, thereby loading the torsion spring. Removal of the pressure against the front member causes the torsion spring to unload, thereby biasing the front member away from the rear member.
