MEDICAL SUPPORT APPARATUS
A medical chair includes a base, a seat, and a leg rest pivotally mounted relative to the seat and adapted to move between an extended position and a retracted position. The chair further includes a first actuator for tilting the seat with respect to the base, a second actuator for lifting the seat with respect to the base, and a leg rest actuator adapted to move the leg rest. The chair also includes a controller adapted to control the first and second actuators to move the seat between a first position and a second position such that the seat is both lifted and tilted at the same time as the seat moves from the first position to the second position, and wherein the controller is adapted to control the leg rest actuator such that the leg rest maintains a substantially constant orientation with respect to the floor.

NO-TOOLS CHAIR HAVING DETACHABLE HEIGHT AND TILT CONTROL PADDLES
A chair is disclosed herein of the kind that is shipped disassembled in a compact shipping package to be assembled by the end user without the use of tools. The chair has a pair of user actuated height and tilt control paddles by which the elevation of the seat and the tilt of the seat and back of the chair can be adjusted relative to the base which holds the seat above the ground. In one embodiment, the height and tilt control paddles are removably attached to the seat at respective paddle receivers connected to the bottom of the seat. In another embodiment, the height and tilt control paddles are removably received by respective paddle cavities formed in the arms of the chair. By removing the paddles from their paddle receivers or paddle cavities, the parts of the disassembled chair may be more efficiently packaged for shipment.

SEATING ARRANGEMENT
A seating arrangement includes a seat arrangement that includes first, second, third and fourth link members coupled to one another, a back arrangement movable between an upright position and a reclined position and coupled to the seat arrangement such that the first link member moves between forward and rearward positions as the back arrangement is moved between the upright and reclined positions, and a stop arrangement including a stop link coupled to at least one of the first link member, the third link and the fourth link member such that the stop link moves with the associated link member as the back assembly moves between the upright and reclined positions, wherein travel of the stop link is limited with respect to the second link member thereby limiting a rearward movement of the back arrangement toward the reclined position.

FURNITURE SYSTEM
The invention relates to a furniture system, consisting of a height-adjustable chair and a height-adjustable table. According to the invention, the chair and the table can be height-adjusted synchronously by means of a common control device, wherein the height adjustment of the table and the height adjustment of the chair are synchronized with each other in such a way that, at different heights, an ideal distance between the tabletop and the seat surface of the chair is always maintained.
Chair arm assembly
A chair assembly includes a back support arrangement that includes a back frame member and a forwardly-facing surface configured to support a user, a four-bar linkage assembly including a first linkage member, a second linkage member, a third linkage member and a fourth linkage member each pivotably coupled to one another such that the four-bar linkage assembly includes an upper end that is adjustable between raised and lowered positions, and an arm rest assembly supported on the upper end of the four-bar linkage assembly, wherein a lower end of the four-bar linkage assembly is pivotably supported from an arm support structure for pivotable movement such that the upper end of the four-bar linkage assembly is movable between a first position and second position located laterally outward from the first position, and wherein the fifth pivot point is located forwardly of the back frame member.
