Wire forming apparatus
A wire forming apparatus which feeds out a wire to a formation space at a distal end of a wire guide (333) and works the wire into a desired shape by using radially arranged tools (T1-T4) includes a wire feeder (30) which supports the wire guide (333) and feeds out the wire to the wire guide (333), tool rotating means (230), from which the tool (T1-T4) is detachable, for changing a position of the tool (T1-T4) relative to the wire guide (333) by rotation, tool driving means (240), rotatably supported by the tool rotating means (230), for applying a driving force to the tool (T1-T4) attached to the tool rotating means (230), a table (210, 220) which supports the tool rotating means (230) and the tool driving means (240) and is configured to move in a two-dimensional direction, and control means (701) for controlling operations of the wire feeder (30), the tool rotating means (230), the tool driving means (240), and the table (210, 220) to work the wire into a desired shape.
MANUFACTURE OF STEERABLE DELIVERY DEVICES
Steerable delivery devices use one or more pull wires. Described herein are devices and methods for securing a pull wire to an adjustment mechanism of such delivery devices. The disclosed devices facilitate securing the pull wire by using a wrapping set screw that forms a lumen for the pull wire and one or more notches in the side of the wrapping set screw at its proximal end. The notches allow the pull wire to be pulled through a notch so that when the wrapping set screw is driven into a threaded lumen the pull wire lies along the roots of the screw. The pull wire is secured in place due at least in part to friction and/or to being pressed between the screw and the threaded lumen of a wrap housing where the wrap housing can be part of the adjustment mechanism of the delivery device.

METHOD FOR PREVENTING SHAPE CHANGES IN METAL COILS, IN PARTICUALR FOR PREVENTING A COLLAPSING OF NEWLY WOUND HOT COILS
The invention relates to a method for preventing shape changes in metal coils, in particular for preventing a collapsing of newly wound hot coils. In the method, a metal coil, in particular a newly wound hot coil, is rotated about its longitudinal axis intermittently in a first rotational direction and then rotated back in a second opposing rotational direction, or further rotated in the first rotational direction.

Method and means of forming threaded ties and rods
Method and means of manufacturing ties, fasteners and rods (15) having a plurality of longitudinal threads by forcing a coil of roll-profiled feed-wire made of steel (11) through a twisting-die made of plastic (1). Also described is: a twisting-die made of plastic (1) that is suitable for twisting profiled feed-wire (11) made of steel; a method of forming a plastic twisting die (1) using an driven tap (31) in the form of a twisted rod (15); and a helically-shaped member (15) having lead measurements (X) along the length of the helical thread that vary less than pitch measurements (Y) along the lengths of the helical threads.
