A modular seating system is provided having one or more seat units. Each seat unit includes a plurality of legs extending downward. A suction device is connected to a lower surface of at least one of the legs to hold the seat in place on the floor. The seat units also include first connector components for connection to back units and/or arm units. The back units and arm units include second connector components configured to cooperate with the first connector components.

An article of furniture including a bottom frame, a plurality of panels forming an outer surface of the article of furniture, and a plurality of struts for securing the panels in place. The bottom frame has an outer periphery which is securable to at least some of the panels. The bottom frame is configured for placement on a floor surface. Further, each strut has an elongated member configured for securement to at least two adjacent panels which are oriented in different planes from one another. The adjacent panels are secured to the respective struts with removable fasteners.

A connecting structure and a seat. The connection structure comprises a mounting hole structure and a mounting structure correspondingly disposed on two main members to be connected; a step structure extends downwards and inwards on one side of the mounting hole structure, and two sides of the step structure are provided with limiting clamping points protruding in a direction parallel to an extending direction of the step structure; the mounting structure is configured to be a column structure, a bottom end of the column structure is provided with a shovel-shaped structure extending in one side of the column structure, and two sides of the shovel-shaped structure are provided with everted protrusions.

A connecting structure and a seat. The connection structure comprises a mounting hole structure and a mounting structure correspondingly disposed on two main members to be connected; a step structure extends downwards and inwards on one side of the mounting hole structure, and two sides of the step structure are provided with limiting clamping points protruding in a direction parallel to an extending direction of the step structure; the mounting structure is configured to be a column structure, a bottom end of the column structure is provided with a shovel-shaped structure extending in one side of the column structure, and two sides of the shovel-shaped structure are provided with everted protrusions.

A furniture spring system includes a lid configured to provide a seating surface. The lid includes a frame having two opposing frame members and a retention member associated with at least one of the two opposing frame members. The furniture spring system further includes a slat extending between the two opposing frame members. The slat includes a plurality of slat portions adjustably coupled to each other, such that a total length of the slat is adjustable.

A knock-down furniture assembly includes (a) a seating assembly having a plurality of first end connectors and a plurality of second end connectors; (b) a first arm having a plurality of first arm connectors, each first arm connector and a corresponding first end connector defining a first pair of interlockable connectors for removably attaching the first arm to the seating assembly; and (c) a second arm including a plurality of second arm connectors, each second arm connector and a corresponding second end connector defining a second pair of interlockable connectors for removably attaching the second arm to the seating assembly. Each pair of interlockable connectors includes (i) a female bracket defining a bracket channel extending along a channel axis oriented generally vertically, and (ii) a male bracket having a slide member slidable into the bracket channel generally along the channel axis for interlocking thereof.

A height adjustable chair is disclosed. The chair is provided with a foldable seat and a base unit supporting a foldable seat. The base unit contains a column enclosing a hydraulic pump and a pair of collars attached to the hydraulic pump. The chair further contains a number of legs attached to one of the collars.

An apparatus/method for assembling a modular ergonomic chair without using fasteners including a seat support structure that includes a plurality of recesses, wherein each recess includes a releasable latch mechanism (RLM); a vertical seat shaft; a pedestal; a first and second arm rest each of which include an arm rest connecting member, wherein the arm rest connecting member has a cavity to receive a RLM latch member of the seat support structure; and a back support, which includes a connecting member, wherein the connecting member also has a cavity to receive the latch member of another RLM of the seat support structure. The back support, first arm rest, and second arm rest are removably coupled to the seat support structure to permit easy assembly and interchanging of seat components. A reclining back support embodiment is also provided using a RLM latch spring with a corresponding connecting member in the seat support structure.

An apparatus/method for assembling a modular ergonomic chair without using fasteners including a seat support structure that includes a plurality of recesses, wherein each recess includes a releasable latch mechanism (RLM); a vertical seat shaft; a pedestal; a first and second arm rest each of which include an arm rest connecting member, wherein the arm rest connecting member has a cavity to receive a RLM latch member of the seat support structure; and a back support, which includes a connecting member, wherein the connecting member also has a cavity to receive the latch member of another RLM of the seat support structure. The back support, first arm rest, and second arm rest are removably coupled to the seat support structure to permit easy assembly and interchanging of seat components. A reclining back support embodiment is also provided using a RLM latch spring with a corresponding connecting member in the seat support structure.

A kit of parts, shippable to an end user in boxes for assembly of the parts by the end user into seating furniture, includes seat bases and seat backs removably attachable to the seat bases; a first armrest with a channel connector having a first channel for slidably receiving a first slide member of a first seat base for securing the first armrest and the first seat base together; and a second armrest with at least a second slide member for slidable insertion into a second channel of another channel connector of a second seat base for securing the second armrest and the second seat base together. Each channel connector secured to the first seat base has a third channel for receiving a third slide member of a slide connector of any other seat base for securing together said other seat base and the first seat base.
