20250327330 · 2025-10-23 ·

A slide saddle (10, 110) for use with a tension board (20, 120) of substantially constant transverse cross-sectional shape for straining mesh style fencing materials is disclosed. The slide saddle comprises a hollow body having an interior shape arranged to slidingly engage the tension board cross-sectional shape, a connector (17, 18) on the body shaped to connect with a wire gripper (25) corresponding to each of the slide saddles (10, 110), and a releasable detent (28) sized to releasably engage with one of a plurality of spaced apart apertures (143) extending along the tension board. A tension board (120) and a method of adjusting the position of the slide saddles on the tension board, are also disclosed.

MULTICORE CABLE PROCESSING APPARATUS

A processing apparatus 200 for a multicore cable 1 processes the multicore cable 1 including a sheath 2 and cores 3 and 4 inserted in the sheath 2, and includes: a slitter 21 that makes a slit along a circumferential direction; a puller 22 that moves at least one of a distal portion of the sheath 2 and a proximal portion of the sheath 2 in a longitudinal direction of the multicore cable 1 to thereby expose the core wires 3 and 4, the distal portion being closer to a distal end of the multicore cable 1 than the slit, the proximal portion being closer to a proximal end of the multicore cable 1 than the slit; a detector 31 that detects a position of a specific core 3 of the cores 3 and 4 in a circumferential direction of the multicore cable 1; and a rotator 32a that rotates the multicore cable 1 based on the detected position of the specific core 3 in the circumferential direction to thereby move the specific core 3 to a predetermined position in the circumferential direction.

A wire gripper is provided which is used when grasping a wire-shaped body. The wire gripper comprises a wire gripping part, a displacement mechanism, and a driving mechanism. The wire gripping part has a first wire gripping body and a second wire gripping body that is disposed oppositely from the first wire gripping body. The displacement mechanism is configured to relatively displace the first wire gripping body and the second wire gripping body to a first position for grasping the wire-shaped body and a second position for releasing the grasp of the wire-shaped body. The driving mechanism has a motor that drives the displacement mechanism.
