An article of flexible furniture having a core formed from a plurality of laminar panels of a flaccid material and each panel having a pair of oppositely directed major faces, adjacent faces of said panels being inter-connected to provide a cellular structure upon movement of abutting faces away from each other, a pair of supports at opposite ends of said core and connected to respective ones of said faces, said supports being self-supporting to provide rigidity to said core whereby said supports may be moved apart to expand said cellular and extend the length of said partition.

Among other things, a piece of furniture is formed from three separate precut pieces of flat triple wall cardboard. A first one of the pieces has a bottom edge to rest on a floor with the first piece rising vertically from the bottom edge and has at least one slot at an upper edge of the first piece. A second one of the pieces has a bottom edge to rest on the floor with the second piece rising from the bottom edge and having at least one slot at an upper edge of the second piece. A portable seat that is compact for storage and could be easily carried by a user. The portable seat can be switched to a functional state that allows the user to sit at ground level while supporting a back of the user. The portable seat includes a base that has a proximal portion and a distal portion. A longitudinal cut divides the distal portion into a left section and a right section, wherein each of the left section and the right section can flex upwards or downwards, and the left section and the right sections can be pulled towards each other in an overlapping manner. Suitable fasteners can retain the distal portion in the overlapping manner. The distal portion in the overlapping manner is contoured upwards to support the back of the user.

A sofa belonging to a technical field of household sofas and being simple in assembly and disassembly and suitable for small dwelling-size apartment is provided. The sofa includes a bottom box, two groups of wing-type armrests, a backrest, two groups of seat cushions, and two groups of backrest cushions. The two groups of the wing-type armrests expand outward and are symmetrically connected to side walls of the bottom box. The backrest is connected to the two groups of the wing-type armrests. The two groups of the seat cushions are disposed on the bottom box. The two groups of the backrest cushions abut against the backrest. Bottom sides of the two groups of the backrest cushions abut against upper surfaces of the two groups of the seat cushions.

The present invention relates to a kit for items of furniture, consisting of at least one bearing trestle (2, 8, 9, 10, 19, 20, 25) and at least two bearing struts (1, 14, 15, 16, 17), wherein the bearing trestle (2, 8, 9, 10, 19, 20, 25) and the bearing struts (1, 14, 15, 16, 17) are formed from laminar foldable materials, wherein the bearing trestle (2, 8, 9, 10, 19, 20, 25) has slots (3) in the bearing area (5) for inserting the bearing struts (1, 14, 15, 16, 17), and wherein the bearing struts (1, 14, 15, 16, 17) are insertable in folded form into the slots (3), wherein the bearing struts (1, 14, 15, 16, 17) has at least one folding mark (6) in longitudinal direction, along which the bearing strut (1, 14, 15, 16, 17) can be folded by up to 180.

Furthermore, the object of the invention is solved by providing an item of furniture, fabricated from the kit according to the invention, and is in form of a bed, a table, a stool, a pedestal, a seat bench, a seat surface or a lying surface.
