Chair having a flexible support member
A seating unit includes a chair with a backrest and a hook assembly. The backrest includes a rear surface having an outwardly protruding rim. The hook assembly comprises a cover plate and a weldment, and the cover plate may include a hook being integrally formed on an exterior face. The hook assembly is configured to be securely coupled on or within the outwardly protruding rim of the backrest, and a secure coupling between the hook assembly and the backrest is formed via insertion of a fastening member, which is inserted through an apertures on a bottom surface of the cover plate, such that the fastener is aligned substantially parallel to the rear surface.
Office systems with shape memory materials
An office system including a first component and a second component moveable relative to the first component. A distance and/or force multiplier is disposed between and coupled to the first and second components. The distance and/or force multiplier includes a shape memory material, wherein the shape memory material is contractible between at least a non-energized state and an energized state in response to an application of energy. The distance and/or force multiplier moves the second component relative to the first component when the shape memory material is contracted to the energized state.

Ready to assemble furniture
A ready-to-assemble (RTA) sofa suitable for outdoor use comprising a seat base and a back rest that can be reconfigured between a use configuration in which the sofa has a conventional L-shaped cross-section and a shipping or storage configuration in which the sofa is arranged in a more efficiently stacked rectangular cross-section. The rectangular cross-section allows the sofa to be more efficiently stacked with other sofas during shipping or storage. In addition, the rectangular cross-section reduces the dead spaces created when an L-shaped sofa is inserted into a box that can collapse during shipping or storage. Moreover, providing a single rigid integral component, the seat base, as an internal skeletal component, provides vertical support extending substantially the height of the box at the opposing ends, provides a highly robust boxed package.
CHAIR WITH A SEAT AND A SUPPORT FRAME FOR SUPPORTING THE SEAT
A chair has a seat with a seat shell. A frame for supporting the seat has, on its side facing the seat, a mounting strut running parallel to the plane of the seat shell. An underside of the seat shell if formed with a receiving profile for the mounting strut. The receiving profile has a fastening section extending from a circumferential edge of the seat shell parallel to a plane of the seat shell into the interior of the seat shell and having an access opening at the circumferential edge of the seat shell. A clamping strip is provided for clamping the mounting strut in the fastening section. The clamping strip is slid from the access opening in a direction parallel to a longitudinal direction of the fastening section and is fixed in its end position in the fastening section perpendicular to the plane of the seat shell.

MOBILE CHAIR
A chair includes a unitary tubular main frame having spaced base portions and spaced side supports. A seat frame is carried by the main frame and the space below the seat frame and between the base portions and the side supports is unobstructed. A tray is carried by the base portions at the back of the chair so as to maintain the front of the chair unobstructed.
