One-Piece Chair Backs and Chairs Having the Same
A chair has a chair back including a frame, two supporting legs and a bearing plate. The frame is integrated to the supporting legs in an injection molding manner. The bearing plate is integrated to a bottom frame portion and two side frame portions of the frame in the injection molding manner so that a user can lean against the bearing plate. The two side frame portions are located on two opposite sides of the bottom frame portion. The hardness of the bearing plate is lower than the hardness of the frame, and the hardness of the frame is lower than the hardness of the supporting leg. Therefore, two members whose materials are different in hardness are possibly constitute a chair back formed in one piece.
METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING A PIECE OF FURNITURE
A method for the production of a piece of furniture such as a seat, a bed, a table, the piece of furniture including at least one furniture component (10), the method including the steps of making a blank (11) of expanded polystyrene (EPS) with density between 15 and 25 kg/me, the blank (11) being configured to act as a core for the furniture component (10); providing an interface surface (12) in the blank (11); making a rigid insert (13) in rigid material having an engagement portion (14) configured to engage with the interface surface (12) of the blank (11) and a first connection portion (15) opposite the engagement portion; joining the rigid insert (13) and the interface surface (12) so that the engagement portion (14) is engaged with the interface surface (12) and the first connection portion (15) faces aside opposite to the blank (11); coating the blank (11) and the rigid insert (13) by at least one coating layer (30) of polyurethane material, so that the coating layer (30) completely covers the blank (11) and the insert (13), with the exception of at least one part (16) of the first connection portion (15).

Active sitting chair
An active sitting chair is provided that encourages a sitter/user to sit actively by requiring balance adjustments and core engagement. The active sitting chair can be efficiently produced while being relatively sturdy and lightweight. The main body may be a monocoque shell that includes a rounded lower portion that contacts the surface the chair is on and promotes wobble of the chair when a sitter is seated on the chair. The chair may also include built-in handles for ease of lifting and a seat portion at the top of the chair that may include a cushion or similar component for increasing the stability and/or comfort of a sitter.
Piece of furniture and method for assembling a piece of furniture
A piece of furniture, in particular a piece of seating furniture, has a base part on which a movable furniture part is pivotably mounted via at least one pivot fitting, wherein the at least one pivot fitting is fixed to the base part by means of a first lever and is fixed to the movable furniture part by means of a second lever which is arranged pivotably with respect to the first lever, and a method for assembling a piece of furniture.
Seating arrangement and method of construction
A seating arrangement includes a base member, and an integrally formed support member coupled to the base member and supporting a seat moveable from an upright position to a reclined position, wherein a portion of the support member is bendable as the seat moves from the upright position to the reclined position such that a first side of the support member is put in tension and a second side generally opposite the first side is put in compression, and wherein the first side includes a tensile substrate so that the first side has as higher modulus of elasticity than the second side.

NURSING SEAT
A cushion and a nursing seat. The cushion comprises: a seat base (4031), and a through hole (4032) provided in a middle of the seat base (4031); a supporting structure (4033) disposed below the through hole (4032), and an accommodating space (4034) being formed between the supporting structure (4033) and the seat base (4031); and a collection box (8) detachably accommodated in the accommodating space (4034). The cushion is provided with the collection box (8) at the bottom, and may be used in the field of nursing. In addition, the collection box (8) and the cushion are detachably connected, thus facilitating handling and cleaning.
High strength blow-molded structure
A blow-molded plastic structure has a hollow interior portion formed during a blow-molding process, and includes first and second outer portions that are spaced apart from each other, with the hollow interior portion disposed there between. The structure includes a pattern of structural stiffening features that are integrally formed in the second outer portion. The pattern of structural stiffening features includes a plurality of tripodal depressions disposed in rows and columns and a plurality of convex regions disposed in rows and columns between the plurality of tripodal depressions. Each convex region has a maximum height between the first and second outer portions. Each of the tripodal depressions extends into the hollow interior portion, includes three indentations disposed adjacent the first outer portion, and includes an island spaced away from the first outer portion. The island has three sides, each of which is disposed adjacent one of the three indentations.
