A force transmission unit that has a rope, particularly a wire rope, and a device for introducing a force into the rope, that includes a sleeve enclosing the rope and connected to the rope under deformation. The force transmission unit has a connecting member which is arranged between the sleeve and the rope and formed from a material that has a lower strength than the materials from which the sleeve and the outer strands of the rope are formed and which preferably has a hollow cylindrical shape.

Method of forming a grounding point on an aluminum member

A method of providing an electrical grounding point on an aluminum structural member of a motor vehicle. The member is hydro-formed to produce a closed cross-section, after which a hole surrounded by a flange is formed in a wall of the member. The flange is generally the shape of a truncated cone and extends toward an interior of the member. A self-tapping fastener having a grounding lead attached thereto is driven into the hole to cut threads into the flange and secure the grounding lead to the member. The self-tapping fastener allows the grounding connection to be achieved without any access to the hollow interior of the member as would otherwise be required.

Ring molded article manufacturing method and ring material

Various implementations include a ring material used for producing a ring molded article. The ring molded article has two convex portions which respectively protrude on opposite sides of the ring molded article in a direction of a center axis thereof and extend in a direction of a circumference of the ring molded article. A straight line passing through centers of gravity of first and second side regions is inclined by an angle relative to the center axis of the ring material, the first and second side regions are obtained by virtually dividing a one half section of the ring material based on a middle of a maximum height of the ring material in the direction of the center axis of the ring material, and a range of the angle is 7 degrees to 40 degrees.

A device is provided with a first die, a second die and a pressing machine. The second die is provided with a plastic processing hole where a core metal is disposed on a hole center line. On the inner peripheral surface of the plastic processing hole, three projecting portions are provided at regular intervals in the circumferential direction of the hole center line. By the approach of the first and second dies to each other, the core metal is inserted into a guide hole of a contact tip, and the projecting portions plastically deform the head end side of the contact tip by pressing it until it is in contact with the core metal.

Method for producing a hollow part made of a metal material and use of this method for producing a landing gear rod or beam
20210370372 · 2021-12-02 ·

A method for producing a hollow part (17; 21; 46) made of a metal material, includes preparing a blank (1; 18; 33) of the metal material of the hollow part (17; 21; 46), and at least one sacrificial mandrel (2; 19; 34, 35) made of a material which has a yield stress in the range from −30% to +20% of the yield stress of the material of the blank (1; 18; 33), preferably in the range from −15% to +10%, ideally in the range from −5% to +3%; applying a punch (10) on at least one of the ends of the blank (1; 18; 33) in order to produce the expansion of at least a portion of said blank (1; 18; 33) and to create at least one internal space (12; 20; 36, 37) inside said blank (1; 18; 33); inserting a sacrificial mandrel (2; 19; 34; 35) in said an internal space (12; 20; 37) of the blank (1; 18; 33);crimping the sacrificial mandrel (2; 19; 34, 35) in said blank (1; 18; 33);producing, by co-forging, a simultaneous deformation of said blank (1; 18; 33) and of said sacrificial mandrel (2; 19; 34, 35), with a homothetic ratio K; and performing a machining in order to remove the sacrificial mandrel (2; 19; 34, 35).

Joining method and joining apparatus

A joining method is a method of joining a plate set composed by a plurality of stacked plate members including a first plate member and a second plate member by using a tapping screw. When the tapping screw is advanced into the plate set while the tapping screw is rotated in a state of applying a pressure onto the plate set so as to form through-holes in the first plate member and the second plate member, a first pressure applied onto the tapping screw is reduced down to a second pressure at the time when the tapping screw penetrates the first plate member.
