METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR FORGING GEAR
The present disclosure provides a method for forging a gear capable of preventing burrs from being formed at an edge of the surface opposite to a direction in which a material in external teeth of the material is pushed. A first exemplary aspect is a method for moving the second punch along a tooth profile groove of the guide die to stack the material and the second punch in this order; and pushing the material and the second punch into a tooth profile groove of the tooth profile die in a stacked state to pass them therethrough, in which a tooth pressing part of the second punch covers at least an edge of a region where external teeth are formed on a surface of the material on the first punch side.
Sizing die for densifying surface of sintered body, production method using same, and product obtained therefrom
In a die for compressing and sizing a sintered body at straight portions, upper taper portions are provided on a die upper portion and a core rod upper portion, and the straight portions are provided at a die lower portion and a core rod lower portion. The die upper portion and the core rod upper portion have Young's moduli higher than the die lower portion and the core rod lower portion. The die upper portion and the core rod upper portion are made of materials having Young's moduli that are at least 50 GPa higher than that of the sintered body. The sintered body can be densified with a smaller ironing margin. Since the sintered body is ironed without being compressed, by the upper taper portions and the core rod upper portion having high Young's moduli, the die is prevented from breaking and being abraded due to ironing.

Fastening device and method
A fastening device for reducing the time required for insertion that includes an elongated shank portion extending longitudinally between a first and a second shank end; and a head portion arranged at the second shank end, wherein the head portion includes a drive arrangement configured and arranged for receiving a rotary driving force to drive the fastening device into at least one workpiece. The elongated shank portion includes a plurality of intertwined helical ridges (plural thread starts). Preferably, the tip portion is configured and arranged to create a hole and threads by softening the material of a workpiece. Additionally, a method for creating an assembly by attaching a first workpiece to a second workpiece via the use of such a fastening device.
RING MOLDED ARTICLE MANUFACTURING METHOD AND RING MATERIAL
Various implementations include a ring material used for producing a ring molded article. The ring molded article has two convex portions which respectively protrude on opposite sides of the ring molded article in a direction of a center axis thereof and extend in a direction of a circumference of the ring molded article. A straight line passing through centers of gravity of first and second side regions is inclined by an angle relative to the center axis of the ring material, the first and second side regions are obtained by virtually dividing a one half section of the ring material based on a middle of a maximum height of the ring material in the direction of the center axis of the ring material, and a range of the angle is 7 degrees to 40 degrees.

FRONT AXLE BEAM AND PRODUCTION METHOD THEREOF
The production method disclosed is a method for producing a front axle beam. The production method includes a die forging step and a bending step. The die forging step is a step of forging a steel material with dies to produce a forged product including a rough web part, which is to be formed into a web part, and four plate-shaped rough flange parts protruding frontward and rearward from an upper side and a lower side of the rough web part, respectively. The bending step is a step of pressing at least one specified rough flange part, which is at least one of the four rough flange parts, with a first die to form a bent portion in the specified rough flange part such that the bent portion is bent inward in an up-down direction of the forged product.
