SUPPORT FOR RECIPROCATING PUMP
A skid for supporting a reciprocating pump assembly, the reciprocating pump assembly including a power end frame assembly having a pair of end plate segments and a plurality of middle plate segments disposed between the end plate segments. The end plate segments each have at least a pair of feet and the middle plate segments each having at least one foot. The skid includes a base and a plurality of pads extending from the base. At least a portion of the plurality of pads correspond to the end plate segment feet and at least another portion of the plurality of pads correspond to the at least one foot of each middle plate segment.
AUTOMOBILE UNDERCARRIAGE COMPONENT
An automobile undercarriage component has at least three elongated arms, each including a web and a rib having an inner wall surface. One of the three elongated arms is a first arm having a first one of the ribs and at least one of the three elongated arms is a second arm having a second one of the ribs. For each of the second ones of the ribs, the leading end of the respective second one of the ribs has a width in the direction parallel to the plane of the web and transverse to the direction of elongation of the arm which is narrower than the width of a leading end of the first one of the ribs, as an inner wall surface is disposed closer to an opposing outer wall surface in the respective second one of the ribs as compared to the first one of the ribs.
SPLINED POWER TRANSMISSION COMPONENTS MADE USING HEAT-ASSISTED CALIBRATION PROCESS AND METHOD OF FORMING SUCH SPLINED POWER TRANSMISSION COMPONENTS
A method for forming a component utilizing ultra-high strength steel and components formed by the method. The method includes the step of providing a flat blank of ultra-high strength 22MnB5 steel. The next step of the method is cold forming the flat blank into an unfinished shape of a component while the blank is in an unhardened state. Then, heating the unfinished shape of the component and generating a spline form thereon. The method proceeds by forming a finished shape of the component using a quenching die resulting in a fine-grained martensitic component material structure and enabling net shape processing to establish final geometric dimensions of the component.

Automobile undercarriage component
An automobile undercarriage component is provided with a web and a rib. The rib is configured so as to comprise a first section that is a section having the widest width and a second section that has a narrower width than the first section, and the second section having a narrower rib width than the first section as a result of an inner wall surface of the second section that is continuously formed from the web being provided so as to be adjacent to a facing outer surface wall.

Circular Hydraulic Press and Method for Reforming and Resizing a Chamber Opening in a Combustion Chamber Housing
A circular hydraulic press reforms and resizes a chamber opening in a combustion chamber housing. The press comprises a bar having a U-shaped end and a pair of free ends. The press comprises a panel having a C-shaped edge, a mounting edge, and a pair of slotted edges. The U-shaped end of the bar and the C-shaped edge of the panel buttress the perimeter of the chamber opening. The slotted edges and a pair of tubes on the slotted edges slidably receive the free ends of the bar to enable displacement of the panel towards the bar. A disk having a predetermined annular shape and circumference positions in the chamber opening. A hydraulic piston displaces the C-shaped edge of the panel towards the U-shaped end of the bar to press the chamber opening against the disk, and thereby reform the disk to substantially the same shape and circumference as the disk.

METHOD OF MANUFACTURING A TUBE AND A MACHINE FOR USE THEREIN
A method is used to manufacture a drawn tube having a hollow low interior for housing an axle shaft. The method includes the steps of placing a billet into a first die assembly and pressing the billet into the first die to producing a pre-formed billet. The method also includes the steps of moving the pre-formed billet from the first die assembly to a second die assembly and pressing the pre-formed billet into the second die assembly to produce an extruded tube. The method further includes the steps of moving the extruded tube from the second die assembly to a third die assembly and pressing the extruded tube into the third die assembly to further elongate the extruded tube and decrease the thickness of the wall of the extruded tube to of from about 3 to about 18 millimeters to produce the drawn tube having the yield strength of at least 750 MPa.
