Armchair
11185165 · 2021-11-30 · ·

An armchair includes a base, a backrest pivotally connected to the base by a first rotating shaft, an armrest connected to the base and an elastic assembly fixed on the armrest. The backrest and the elastic assembly are pivotally connected by a second rotating shaft. The elastic assembly is configured to provide elastic force when the backrest swings around the first rotating shaft. The elastic assembly arranged between the backrest and the armrest permits the backrest to be able to swing relative to the base. In use, the elastic assembly controls the swing amplitude of the backrest according to the pressure exerted by the user's back on the backrest. When the user reclines backward, the elastic assembly acts as a cushion to support the backrest to slowly swing backward due to the elastic force. When the user rises, the elastic force of the elastic assembly urges the backrest to reset.

Present invention teaches a screwless chair where the unassembled product can come in a flat package, reducing the size of storage and adding to the ease of transportation. No screws are needed for the chair of present invention; no tools are needed for the assembly/disassembly when a user unfolds the seat back from the seat base, slides the hook pieces along the groove pieces and set the seat back down by setting the insertion pegs to the corresponding insertion holes. Errors in setting up the chair can be avoided. The ease of setting up, and thus the sturdiness and the safety of the chair, is not affected by repeated disassembly/re-assembly.

A height adjustment assembly for use in furniture such as a chair armrest is revealed. The height adjustment assembly includes a fixing base, an outer sleeve, and a rod. A snap block is released from one of one of the slots of the fixing base to be in a released state when a drive portion of the rid is driven for synchronously driving the snap block of the rod to move for adjustment. Now the fixing base remains still and the outer sleeve can be moved and adjusted vertically relative to the fixing base. The vertical movement of the outer sleeve includes a highest point and a lowest point. The fixing base or a fixed position of the fixing base is located between the highest point and the lowest point. Thereby the fixing base is covered with the outer sleeve to improve beauty and quality of the furniture.

Self-adjusting centre console with arm detection

A method for setting an ergonomic position of a center console with an arm rest and with one or more operating elements separate from the arm rest in a vehicle, includes detecting an arm of a driver facing the centre console with a forearm and at least areas of an upper arm using one or more optical sensors; determining at least an elbow position and a hand position of the arm of the driver using sensor data of the sensors by means of a suitable evaluation method; and automatically moving the arm rest of the centre console using the positioning unit based on the determined elbow positions and hand positions at least vertical as well as parallel to the vehicle axis so that after moving an ergonomic position of the arm is achieved.
