A processing apparatus for processing a workpiece by transferring the workpiece between a ram and a die block. At least one recessed die of a plurality of dies molds the workpiece into a bottomed tubular shape by a punch. A punch, among a plurality of punches, that has entered the recessed die exits from the recessed die with the formed workpiece being attached to the punch, together with the workpiece. Since the workpiece is transferred from the die block to the ram when the punch exits from the die, a step of moving the ram forward relative to the die block to transfer the workpiece from the die block to the ram can be omitted accordingly.

The present invention concerns a method for producing a bicycle component (10), characterised in that it comprises the following consecutive operations: a step of producing a part (15) comprising an inner cavity (52) that is open on one side; a step of positioning a plate (60) on the part (15) in order to cover the cavity (52); and a step of securing the plate (60) to the part (15) in order to obtain the bicycle component (10). The invention also concerns a bicycle component (10) and a bicycle chainset.

Method for manufacturing cylindrical body having different diameters by cold forging
A multi-diameter tubular body is cold-forged by forming a large-diameter hole portion in a formed body having a preliminary hole through subjection of the preliminary hole to deep hole forming and by punching out the bottom surface of the large-diameter hole portion to thereby form a small-diameter hole portion. Since a punch having a central protrusion on its forward end surface is used, an internal flaw is generated by dead metal in the inner circumferential surface of a depression, formed by the protrusion, in the bottom surface of the large-diameter hole portion. An outside diameter of a protrusion of a deep hole forming punch is rendered smaller than an inside diameter of the small-diameter hole portion to be formed later by punching out the bottom surface of the large-diameter hole portion. As a result, the internal flaw is removed when the small-diameter hole portion is formed.
Method for manufacturing cylindrical body having different diameters by cold forging

A spray tip for a fluid applicator includes a stem configured to be inserted into the fluid applicator. The stem includes a stem pre-orifice portion and an insert receiving portion. The spray tip includes a pre-orifice insert having an inlet and an outlet. The pre-orifice insert is disposed within the insert receiving portion and disposed against a rearward shoulder of the stem.

To provide a method of manufacturing a shaft for a steering device, the shaft including a spline shaft part to be coupled with an input shaft, a stopper part to be coupled with an output shaft, and an intermediate shaft part that couples the spline shaft part with the stopper part. The method includes: a step of forming a hole part recessed in an axial direction from one end of a pillar-shaped material by forging; and a step of pressing the material in which the hole part has been formed into a die to perform drawing in a radial direction on a portion of the material at which the spline shaft part and the intermediate shaft part are formed, and prolonging a length along the axial direction of the hole part at the same time by forging.
