HOUSING AND TILT MECHANISM FOR A CHAIR AND A CHAIR, IN PARTICULAR AN OFFICE CHAIR
A housing for a tilt mechanism for a chair, in particular for an office chair, has a receptacle for a chair column, a seat support integrated in the housing or a seat-support mounting apparatus for fastening a seat support to the housing, and a backrest-support mounting apparatus for fastening a backrest support to the housing.
Chair With Molded Panel
A chair is provided with a seat support frame which may be comprised of at least two tubes spaced apart by a polymer connector. The seat support frame supports a foam cushion and the frame may be embedded in the foam and may include flexible supports across the support frame also embedded in the foam. A rigid panel has a cavity and the rigid panel is arranged adjacent an outer surface of the foam cushion with at least part of the foam cushion positioned within the cavity, wherein the rigid panel is affixed to the support frame and an inner surface of the rigid panel faces the outer surface of the foam cushion.
A MODULAR SEATING SYSTEM AND A SEATING UNIT
A seating unit of a modular seating system, said seating unit comprising: a first lateral member comprising a first mounting arrangement; a second lateral member opposing said first lateral member and comprising a second mounting arrangement; a seat support member having a longitudinal support axis extending through said first lateral member and said second lateral member; and a seat articulated to said seat support member; wherein said first mounting arrangement is configured for coupling to said second mounting arrangement of a second lateral member of a neighboring identical seating unit, so as to attach said seating unit and said neighboring seating unit to each other; and wherein said seat support member has a first end associated with said first lateral member and an opposite second end associated with said second lateral member.

Elevation hinge
An elevation hinge where one of the parts moves in connection to a guiding means on another part, and wherein a supporting effect is achieved on an elevation of said moving part. The elevation hinge comprises a first part including at least one guiding means, and a second part including at least one connection element for guiding the second part along the at least one guiding means. The guiding means includes a second portion adapted for guiding the connection element to and from a first portion. Guidance is performed in a linear manner or in a rotational and linear manner, in relation to the first part. A spring is fixed between a connection element and an anchor pin on the first part.
System architecture for office productivity structure communications
A furniture system includes an office productivity structure (OPS). The furniture system also includes a sensor coupled to the OPS, the sensor operable to detect a parameter of the OPS and generate an output signal indicative of the parameter; and a processor coupled to the sensor. The processor is operable to receive the output signal generated by the sensor, determine, based on the output signal, an operation condition of the OPS, when the operation condition is determined to be within a satisfactory range, determine an estimated time before servicing is needed, and when the operation condition is determined to be outside a satisfactory range, send a service alert.

Stowable seating
An activities unit combining a table or other horizontal surface with seating units is shown and described. Seating units may include both permanent or fixed individual seating units and also, at least one additional seating unit movable between a stowed position to a deployed position. Both permanent or fixed seating units and also stowable seating units may each be supported on the activities unit by an arm above floor level. This enables ready cleaning of a floor surface on which the unitized table is placed without having to move seating units out of the way. Construction of the unitized table enables utilitarian components and features which may be deemed unsightly to be concealed, for example, by wood paneling both at a table top and also a depending wall. The table top may overhang the depending wall.
LIFTING SEAT
The invention discloses a lifting seat, which has an upper cushion assembly, a lower cushion assembly, an elastic member and an adjustment structure. One end of the upper cushion assembly is rotatably connected with one end of the lower cushion assembly, and the elastic member is arranged between the upper cushion assembly and the lower cushion assembly; wherein, the upper cushion assembly and the lower cushion assembly rotate relatively to have an open state and a closed state. The elastic member is in compression state when it is closed, and the adjustment structure is used to change the torque of the upper cushion assembly to the elastic member when it is open and closed. The technical solution provided by the invention can solve the problem that the existing lifting seat cannot fully satisfy the user's sit-to-stand requirements.
SLIDABLE LIFTING SEAT APPARATUS AND METHOD TO ASSIST STANDING UP
Methods and apparatuses are disclosed to help the elderly or physically impaired individual standing up from a chair, a bench, a wheel chair, a toilet seat, a commode, a rollator seat, a walker seat, or a car seat. The disclosed apparatus to generate lifting thrust for individual to stand up from a chair has a base, a slidable seat pivoted mounted on the base and a lifting spring to reserve the energy on sitting down and release the saved energy on standing up.
