Method for producing casting molds, cores and basic mold materials regenerated therefrom
What are described is a process for producing casting molds, cores and mold base materials regenerated therefrom, a mixture for combination with a solution or dispersion comprising waterglass for production of casting molds and/or cores, a molding material mixture, a mold base material mixture, and a casting mold or a core. What is also described is the corresponding use of an amount of particulate sheet silicates having a d.sub.90 of less than 45 μm or a corresponding mixture as additive for production of a molding material mixture comprising waterglass and particulate amorphous silicon dioxide, which is cured by chemical reaction of constituents of the molding material mixture with one another, in the production of a casting mold or a core, to facilitate the breakdown and/or to increase the regeneratability of the casting mold or core.
GREEN MOLDING SAND TREATMENT EQUIPMENT MONITORING SYSTEM AND GREEN MOLDING SAND TREATMENT EQUIPMENT MONITORING METHOD
A green sand treatment equipment monitoring system that detects that the condition of green sand treatment equipment is deteriorating before the green sand treatment equipment fails, or detects that the quality of green sand treated by the green sand treatment equipment and kneaded sand produced from the green sand is deteriorating before it becomes clear that the green sand and the kneaded sand are defective products. The system including: an information collecting device that collects, in real time, data measured by equipment within green sand treatment equipment; and a diagnostic device that compares, in real time, the collected data with a control value, and displays a diagnosis result if the diagnostic device determines that the collected data has deviated from the control value.
Core manufacturing apparatus
A core manufacturing apparatus includes: a storage unit that stores core sand; a kneading vessel configured to be fed with the core sand; a kneading rod configured to knead the core sand; and a piston configured to eject the kneaded core sand. The kneading vessel is capable of transitioning between a horizontally lying state and a vertically standing state and configured to be fed with the core sand in the horizontally lying state. The piston is configured to eject the core sand downward and pack it into a mold with the kneading vessel in the vertically standing state. The storage unit includes a valve that opens and closes the feed port. The storage unit is coupled to the kneading vessel so as to be turnable around a second shaft and configured to maintain the same posture with the valve in contact with the feed port while the kneading vessel turns.
MOLDING METHOD
A cycle is repeatedly carried out, the cycle including: a material feeding step of feeding a material whose amount is larger than an amount that is needed to form a single mold; a mixing step; an ejection step; and a measurement step of measuring, once before or after the ejection step, an amount of foamed mixed sand contained in a mixing tank. The material at least partially is not fed in the material feeding step in the cycle in which the amount of the foamed mixed sand is not less than a first threshold.
Core blowing apparatus for robotic system
A core blowing device includes a hopper, a fluidizer, a shooting head, and a robotic arm fitting. The core blowing device is configured to removeably couple to a free end of a robotic arm and is configurable to implement a variety of core casting processes using different aggregate materials, binders, catalysts, and/or curing processes.
Method for inorganic binder castings
A method for inorganic binder casting, comprising: selecting a Shape-Forming Material based on pre-determined manufacturing and shape characteristics, selecting a casting shape based on pre-determined design characteristics, and forming the Shape-Forming Material into a mold. The mold is coated with an inorganic binder solution at a pre-defined weight ratio and is dehydrated the Shape-Forming Material. The method further comprises pouring a hot liquid metal into the mold and allowing said hot liquid metal to cool to form a molded part. The Shape-Forming Material may be washed from said molded part with a solvent, the inorganic material and Shape-Forming Material reclaimed, reused, and the Shape-Forming Material reformed to a mold. The method further comprises recreating a liquid inorganic binder solution using the reclaimed inorganic material and recoating the Shape-Forming Material with the reclaimed inorganic binder solution.
DISPLAY DEVICE
Provided is a display apparatus that is capable of displaying a relationship between sand properties measured as time series. The display apparatus displays (i) a relationship between pieces of measured first sand property data and pieces of measured second sand property data, obtained in a first predetermined period, together with first and second reference ranges set for the first and second sand properties and (ii) a relationship between pieces of measured third sand property data and pieces of measured fourth sand property data, obtained in a second predetermined period, together with third and fourth reference ranges set for the third and fourth sand properties.

The storage unit is coupled to the kneading vessel so as to be turnable around a second shaft and configured to maintain the same posture with the valve in contact with the feed port while the kneading vessel turns.
METHOD OF REUSING CORE SAND
A method of reusing core sand includes crushing a core used for casting into granules, the core includes water glass as a binder, and the water glass includes water-soluble water glass and water-insoluble water glass; heating the core; detaching the water glass from the core sand; and separating and collecting the core sand from a mixture of the water glass and the core sand.
