Casting device
A casting apparatus according to the present disclosure includes an upper frame, a lower frame, a main link member, a sub-link member and a lifting/lowering mechanism. The upper mold is attached to the upper frame. The lower frame is disposed in parallel with the upper frame. The lower mold is attached to the lower frame. A top end part of the main link member is rotatably connected to the upper frame and a bottom end part thereof is rotatably connected to the lower frame. The sub-link member is disposed in parallel with the main link member, the top end part thereof is rotatably connected to the upper frame and the bottom end part thereof is rotatably connected to the lower frame. The lifting/lowering mechanism causes the sub-link member to lift or lower with respect to the main link member.
Casting device
A casting apparatus according to the present disclosure includes an upper frame, a lower frame, a main link member, a sub-link member and a lifting/lowering mechanism. The upper mold is attached to the upper frame. The lower frame is disposed in parallel with the upper frame. The lower mold is attached to the lower frame. A top end part of the main link member is rotatably connected to the upper frame and a bottom end part thereof is rotatably connected to the lower frame. The sub-link member is disposed in parallel with the main link member, the top end part thereof is rotatably connected to the upper frame and the bottom end part thereof is rotatably connected to the lower frame. The lifting/lowering mechanism causes the sub-link member to lift or lower with respect to the main link member.

A method of manufacturing a mold by a machine tool, the method including predicting a thermal fatigue life of a mold which is made of a mold material having a hardness H and on which heating during contact with a workpiece and cooling after contact with a workpiece are repeated, the method including a step for obtaining a thermal stress maximum value σ.sub.h_MAX among a plurality of thermal stress values at a position x on the mold and a temperature T.sub.h at the thermal stress maximum value, wherein the temperature at the thermal stress maximum value σ.sub.h_MAX is a temperature lower than a maximum temperature among the plurality of temperatures, the machine tool manufactures the predetermined mold shape from a mold material having one of the plurality of hardnesses in which the thermal fatigue life was obtained based on the thermal stress maximum value, the yield strength, and the contraction.
Variable Weight Cast-Mold Fishing Jig
This invention is a way of making a cast-mold jig used in angling that allows the angler to change the weight of the jig by adding and removing weights to and from the jig. FIGS. 1 and 2 illustrate two different ways of making a cast-mold jig that can accommodate removable weights. The example implementations depicted by FIGS. 1 and 2 show the embodiments of Claim 1 specifically with arrow items 1, 2, 11, 13. All other arrows are for contextual purposes.
Variable Weight Cast-Mold Fishing Jig
This invention is a way of making a cast-mold jig used in angling that allows the angler to change the weight of the jig by adding and removing weights to and from the jig. SYSTEM, APPARATUS, AND METHOD FOR DIRECT CHILL CASTING VENTING
Provided herein is a system, apparatus, and method for venting a direct chill casting mold by venting excess casting gas and retaining oxide from atop a casting during the direct chill casting process. Methods of venting casting gas from a direct chill casting mold include: supplying the direct chill casting mold with molten metal through a transition plate; supplying a casting gas through a casting surface of the direct chill casting mold; venting the casting gas from a gas pocket in the transition plate, wherein venting the casting gas from the gas pocket in the transition plate is performed in response to a pressure of the casting gas in the gas pocket reaching a predetermined pressure.
SIDE MOLD AND LOW-PRESSURE HUB CASTING MOLD
The application belongs to the technical field of a casting mold and provides a side mold and a low-pressure hub casting mold. Channels of a cooling loop are processed in a back cavity of a side mold frame, a distance between the channels along a solidification direction of a casting gradually increases, and a cooling medium flows along the cooling loop, the ability of taking away heat changes from strong to weak, and a larger temperature gradient of the side mold may be formed by superposition with a temperature gradient formed by the thickness of the side mold.
COOLING WATER CHANNEL FOR CASTING MOLD
The application provides a cooling water channel for a casting mold. The cooling water channel adopts a sealing structure in which a water channel insert, a sealing cover plate and a metal corrugated sealing ring are matched with each other, wherein a bottom surface of the metal corrugated sealing ring is corrugated or two side walls of the metal corrugated sealing ring are corrugated, and the sealing cover plate is pressed to enable the metal corrugated sealing ring to generate elastic deformation, so that corrugations on the two side walls of the metal corrugated sealing ring and a side wall of the water channel form multi-point contact or the bottom surface of the metal corrugated sealing ring expands to make the side walls of the metal corrugated sealing ring in tight contact with the water channel to achieve a water channel sealing effect.

REPAIR OF CORE POSITIONING FEATURES IN CAST COMPONENTS
An investment casting process for manufacturing a cast component is provided. The investment casting process includes forming a core, casting the cast component about the core such that a core positioning feature provides a location of an anticipated pilot hole in the cast component, removing the core from the cast component once the casting is completed, locating, forming and sizing a pilot hole to form a resized pilot hole that can receive a sealing plug and installing the sealing plug into the resized pilot hole.
