Disclosed is a modular seat for aircraft. The system has a frame that is able to be interconnected with other frames laterally. Since each lateral frame has the same pivot points (when viewed from the side), the linked seats rotate together. The seats also include buckle lugs which enable a particular seat to be used on either side of the aircraft.

The wood layers include a top layer at each of the front and rear of the shaped wooden shell, respectively, the top layer made of a wood layer is arranged in the longitudinal direction. The wood layers also include between the top layers a number of middle and outer wood layers arranged in the longitudinal or transverse direction. The shaped wooden shell is upholstered, and has a transversely extending cutout defined by bars at the edge in the transition region and/or the backrest part.

The user interface device receives an input regarding a desired temperature of the back heating member and the lower limb heating member. The controller receives the input and adjusts an operation of the back heating member and the lower limb heating member to achieve the desired temperature. The user interface device receives a second input to adjust the a height of the seat relative to the floor surface.
