MOLD PUMP
A molding machine for molding material is provided. The machine includes a cavity to be filled with molten metal and a conduit system leading to the cavity, thus forming a system of interconnected hollow spaces. At least one pressure member is moveable in at least part of the conduit system. A centrifugal pump in fluid communication with a reservoir of molten metal is provided, the pump providing molten metal to the hollow space receiving the at least one pressure member.

The cylinder liner may also have a coating deposited on and surrounding the external surface. The external surface may have a specific roughness, and the coating may include at least 98% by volume of pure nickel, and a remainder composed of impurities.

A cylinder liner for insertion into an aluminum internal-combustion engine block may include a cylindrical body of cast iron having a circumferential external surface. The cylinder liner may also have a coating deposited on and surrounding the external surface. The external surface may have a specific roughness, and the coating may include at least 98% by volume of pure nickel, and a remainder composed of impurities.
Aluminum alloy and die casting method
A method for casting an aluminum alloy includes: pouring molten metal of an aluminum alloy comprising 6.0 to 9.0 mass % of Si, 0.4 to 0.8 mass % of Mg, 0.25 to 1.0 mass % of Cu, 0.08 to 0.25 mass % of Fe, 0.6 mass % or less of Mn, 0.2 mass % or less of Ti, and 0.01 mass % or less of Sr, with the balance being Al and unavoidable impurities into a shot sleeve of a die casting machine; filling a mold cavity of a center-gate die with the molten metal at a gate speed of 1 msec or less so as to produce a laminar flow, and subjecting T5 heat treatment so as to obtain the aluminum alloy having a tensile strength of 240 MPa or more.
Aluminum alloy and die casting method
A method for casting an aluminum alloy includes: pouring molten metal of an aluminum alloy comprising 6.0 to 9.0 mass % of Si, 0.4 to 0.8 mass % of Mg, 0.25 to 1.0 mass % of Cu, 0.08 to 0.25 mass % of Fe, 0.6 mass % or less of Mn, 0.2 mass % or less of Ti, and 0.01 mass % or less of Sr, with the balance being Al and unavoidable impurities into a shot sleeve of a die casting machine; filling a mold cavity of a center-gate die with the molten metal at a gate speed of 1 msec or less so as to produce a laminar flow, and subjecting T5 heat treatment so as to obtain the aluminum alloy having a tensile strength of 240 MPa or more.
DIE CASTING MACHINE AND DIE CASTING METHOD
The present disclosure relates to a die casting machine and a die casting method. The die casting machine used in cooperation with a mold (or die) having a die cavity configured to receive molten liquid and includes a plurality of injection mechanisms connected to the mold (or die). Each injection mechanism is provided with an injecting channel through which molten liquid is injected into the die cavity. The plurality of injecting channels are in connection with different positions of the die cavity.
DIE CASTING MACHINE AND DIE CASTING METHOD
The present disclosure relates to a die casting machine and a die casting method. The die casting machine used in cooperation with a mold (or die) having a die cavity configured to receive molten liquid and includes a plurality of injection mechanisms connected to the mold (or die). Each injection mechanism is provided with an injecting channel through which molten liquid is injected into the die cavity. The plurality of injecting channels are in connection with different positions of the die cavity.
Casting device, method for manufacturing casting, and seal structure
A casting device for operating stably while suppressing leakage from a gap between a tip and a sleeve is disclosed. The casting device includes: a sliding member in the center of which a rod slides, and in which a gap is formed between the rod and the sleeve; a seal member arranged at an outer periphery of the sliding member; and a suction device for suctioning air inside the sleeve. When the seal member is positioned in a center section closer to a cavity than a pouring hole, and the air in a space between the sliding member and the tip is suctioned, the seal member assumes a first state in which the seal member adheres to the center section, and in the first state, the tip advances toward the cavity.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR PUMPING LIQUID METAL ALLOYS
This invention provides an improved method and apparatus for controlling the flow of molten metal alloys and, in particular, to a method to finely control the delivery rate of liquid aluminum alloys and the liquid fraction of semi-solid aluminum alloys. The apparatus and method described herein provide for the pumping of liquid metal alloys in a precise and controlled manner. By controlling the heat flow through a section of the pump piston, the pump chamber, the porous liner of the pump chamber and the metal alloy charge, the present invention provides a means to deliver liquid metal alloys at high pressure through one or more exit ports.
