VACUUM SENSOR SYSTEM FOR HIGH PRESSURE DIE CASTING
A vacuum sensor system includes a vacuum pump, vacuum tank, solenoid valve, filters, vacuum block, sensors, and a central processing unit (CPU). The vacuum sensor system monitors the performance of a vacuum system connected to a high pressure die casting machine to ensure that the components cast in the mold or die will have a greater yield of acceptable parts. More specifically, the vacuum sensor system uses sensors to monitor and analyze the vacuum pressure at multiple locations to determine which components are clogging and causing a loss of vacuum pressure in the system. When the CPU detects an anomaly in the pressure, the CPU provides notification in one or more of the following ways: sending a command to shut down the die casting machine; visual notification on the screen of the CPU; an audible warning signal; a visual notification on a semaphore installed on the machine; and/or an electronic notification to one or more users via email, text, or other form of telecommunication.
System and method for injecting semisolid aluminum into a mould
A system for injecting semisolid metal into a mold, the system including a mold having a mold chamber, at least one press device having a cylinder, an injection chamber, and a thrust piston, a positioning device supporting a blending device having an active portion and a cover, and an actuating device that selectively injects the semisolid metal into the mold.
Aluminum product manufacturing method using die casting and aluminum brake caliper manufacturing method using the same
There are provided a method of manufacturing an aluminum product and a method of manufacturing an aluminum brake caliper each using die casting, for improving flow and run of molten metal during casting and enhancing productivity and quality. In a method of manufacturing an aluminum product provided with opposing portions opposed to each other with a hollow portion interposed in between, and connecting portions connecting the opposing portions at two sides thereof, the method includes a die casting step of performing casting by pouring molten metal of an aluminum alloy from a gate for the molten metal formed in one of the opposing portions via the connecting portions and a bridge connecting the two opposing portions, and a bridge removing step of removing the bridge.

Injection assembly for pressure die casting systems
An injection assembly, for pressure die casting systems, has an injection cylinder adapted to inject liquid metal into a casting cavity; the injection cylinder is actuated by a hydraulic flow of an oil-pressure controlled circuit; the oil-pressure controlled circuit includes a hydraulic cushion which blocks and releases the flow of the hydraulic fluid in the injection cylinder and provides a counter-pressure of preset value to control the injection speeds and to prevent cavitation in the injection cylinder.
Pouring nozzle with a replaceable crown
A casting nozzle for guiding a melt from an outlet of a casting furnace into a casting box, the casting nozzle comprising a main body; a crown attached to the main body; a guiding channel through the main body and crown; a stub on the main body, which stub has a front side that is insertable into a casting furnace outlet and into which the guiding channel enters; a flange on the stub on a side opposite to the front side for applying onto the casting furnace; and a crown socket that is formed at the flange opposite to the stub for carrying the crown. The casting nozzle in combination with a casting furnace and a casting box.
Die casting apparatus and die casting method
Provided are a die casting method and a die casting apparatus for preventing molten metal from being unexpectedly supplied into a sleeve under decompression. Molten metal supply control for pumping up molten metal with an electromagnetic pump and supplying the molten metal into a sleeve in a state of decompressing a cavity of a die and the inside of the sleeve attached to the die, including: moving the surface of the molten metal, with the electromagnetic pump, from a standard position to the side opposite to a supply direction of the molten metal; decompressing the cavity and the inside of the sleeve; and weakening force of the electromagnetic pump, which pumps down the molten metal to the side opposite to the supply direction to supply the molten metal into the sleeve.
Die-casting machine with injection assembly with a shut-off valve
An injection assembly (2) of a hydraulic machine for diecasting is provided with a main shut-off valve (50) suitable to prevent the return of fluid from the main pressure chamber (30). The main valve (50) comprise a containment case (541), in which a return spring (540) is housed, suitable to retain any rupture fragments thereof.
HOT-CHAMBER DIE CASTING SYSTEMS AND METHODS
Hot-chamber die casting systems for casting aluminum, copper, titanium, and their alloys, as well as other high temperature and/or reactive metals. The hot-chamber die casting system comprises an injection system that includes a cylinder, a plunger reciprocable within the cylinder, and a gooseneck that defines a passage fluidically connected to a cylinder chamber within the cylinder, wherein surfaces of the cylinder, plunger, and gooseneck that contact a molten metal during injection casting are defined by a refractory material that does not react with the molten metal, or have been treated to reduce the rate of dissolution of their surface material into the molten metal during injection casting.
Inline melt control via RF power
Various embodiments provide apparatus and methods for melting materials and for containing the molten materials within melt zone during melting. Exemplary apparatus may include a vessel configured to receive a material for melting therein; a load induction coil positioned adjacent to the vessel to melt the material therein; and a containment induction coil positioned in line with the load induction coil. The material in the vessel can be heated by operating the load induction coil at a first RF frequency to form a molten material. The containment induction coil can be operated at a second RF frequency to contain the molten material within the load induction coil. Once the desired temperature is achieved and maintained for the molten material, operation of the containment induction coil can be stopped and the molten material can be ejected from the vessel into a mold through an ejection path.
