MEDITATION SEAT SYSTEM
The present invention relates to seat systems, and more specifically to seat systems suitable for supporting users sitting in a cross-legged or kneeling position during activities such as meditation. Sitting closer to the ground, cross-legged, and/or kneeling enables the brain to easily enter a parasympathetic mode, providing users of the seat system a greater sense of calmness. The Multi-Angle Knee blocks (MAKs) offer a greater level of hip support for users.
MODULAR FURNITURE WITH SHELF SUPPORT ASSEMBLY
A modular seat and method of assembling the same are provided. The modular seat includes a first seating component having one or more seating component attachment apertures. The modular seat also includes a first arm component having a first arm component shelf support configured to be received by one of the seating component attachment apertures. The modular seat may include one or more other components, such as attachment members, additional seating components, back support components, and/or additional arm components. A corresponding method of assembling a modular seat is also provided.
CONVERTIBLE FURNITURE SYSTEM
A convertible furniture system or futon includes a convertible frame assembly that is mountable in an interior space and is deployable between a bench configuration and a flat, bed configuration. The frame assembly includes a back frame and a bottom frame that are pivotably coupled together and coordinate to form either the bench configuration that provides a user an upright seat or the bed configuration that provides the user a flat, substantially horizontal bed to lie down on. A user can maneuver the system from the bench configuration into the bed configuration and vice versa. The system may be installed inside of various interior living quarters, including inside of mobile vehicles. The system includes various support elements mounted to the interior space, the support element may be selectively engaged to support the system in the bed or bench configurations and during deployment and stowage of the system.
LOUNGE FURNITURE WITH REMOVABLE SEAT
Electrified lounge furniture formed from joined furniture sections. Each furniture section includes a lounge back, a seat and a base. The seat is designed to be selectively pivotable away from the base. When the furniture sections are joined to each other, an electrical wiring assembly extends between the furniture sections to provide electrical power to each of the furniture sections. Each of the furniture sections includes at least one electrical outlet. The electrical wiring assembly is received on the base of each of the furniture sections and is concealed beneath the seat during normal usage. When the user desires access to the electrical wiring assembly, one or more of the seats can pivot away from the base to provide access to the electrical wiring assembly. After the electrical wiring assembly has been accessed, the seat can pivot back into contact with the base where it is securely held to both the base and the lounge back.
Flexible furniture back
A flexible furniture back with “U” clamp is a steel sofa or chair back having a U-shaped clamp secured to a sofa or chair base providing a back capable of horizontal movement. The furniture back has a plurality of steel cross-member supports. Additionally, the furniture back has padding about the front face and rear face of the back thereby providing cushioning.
Expandable seating furniture
An expandable seating furniture comprising a center section for providing a first seating position, the center section providing center chair legs and at least one lateral section, concealable into the center section, each of the at least one lateral section being laterally expandable for providing one or more additional seating positions. The center section conceals one or more lateral chair legs, and may also conceal back support and/or armrest, for each of the at least one lateral section when the expandable seating furniture is unexpanded. The lateral section(s) may be concealable into the center section as interleaved sliding sections (e.g., along a seating plane and/or vertically).
Seating apparatus assembled from components
A seating apparatus assembled from Furniture components readily shippable by common carrier comprising a base frame, a pair of side arm assemblies that align with opposing distal ends of the base frame, and a back assembly to assemble as a seating apparatus, with legs having threaded fasteners that extend through the base frame for engaging the side arm assemblies and supporting the seating apparatus on a floor. Connector members on the back assembly engage respective connector brackets on the side arm assemblies to secure the back to the seating apparatus. The base frame includes a stretcher with a support leg, which stretcher rotates to move the support leg from a shipping position to a supporting position in contact with the floor for use of the seating apparatus.
Furniture Systems and Furniture System Components
Furniture systems, furniture system components, methods of assembling furniture systems, and methods of assembling furniture system components are described in the present disclosure. The furniture systems comprise a seat frame assembly connected to a first arm assembly and a second arm assembly and a back assembly, wherein the seat frame assembly is connected to the first and second arm assemblies by inserts and tabs formed thereon.
