An adjustable fully upholstered chaise recliner is provided. The chaise comprises a stationary outer frame coupled to a platform. The platform is configured to move between a first position and a second position while the outer frame remains stationary. A cushion is coupled to the platform and is fully upholstered to the platform such that a cover material encloses the cushion and the platform. Movement of the platform causes one or more bending portions of the cushion to bend. The chaise further comprises one or more cords, each extending through the cushion with a first end coupled to the cover material and a second end coupled to the platform. The cords are configured to pull on the cover material such that movement of the platform from the first position to the second position does not result in bunching of the cover material near the bending portions of the cushion.

A sectional sofa cover system for covering a sectional sofa having a plurality of sofa sections coupled to a corner section includes a plurality of section covers configured to attach to and cover a corresponding section of the sectional sofa. The plurality of section covers includes at least one corner section cover configured to attach to and cover the corner section of the sectional sofa. The corner section cover has a rectangular seat portion configured to cover a seat of the corner section, and two back portions configured to cover respective seatbacks of the corner section. The two back portions extend from two perpendicular fold lines partially defining a perimeter of the seat portion.

A modular furniture assembly includes: a base member having a frame assembly, a transverse member having a frame assembly, a foot configured to contact a support surface, and a mounting platform having a plurality of apertures therethrough. The mounting platform is configured to be mounted on the base member frame assembly and the transverse member frame assembly, thereby connecting the frame assemblies. The foot is selectively mounted on the mounting platform, such that the foot is configured to contact the support surface when the modular furniture assembly is in an upright configuration. A modular sofa assembly described herein includes a plurality of seating modules each having a seat section, a backrest section, and side edge surfaces. The backrest section includes first and second portions coupled for movement between a folded configuration and an extended configuration. An armrest module has an armrest side edge surface configured for mating engagement with a side edge surface of a seating module. The modular sofa is assembled by aligning connectors of the seating modules and armrest module, with each respective connectors slidingly engaged along an axis. After bringing the modules together, these connections are secured with the side edge surfaces in abutting engagement. The modular sofa further may include a power cradle mounted at the sofa's bottom surface. The power cradle includes a cubic power outlet near the front of the sofa, and power cable extending beyond the back of the sofa.

This particular invention accomplishes the objective of flat small packing by means of having a wedge shaped corner piece that allows the adjacent back pieces not to be angled thereby reducing package size 30%. There is flap on the bottom of the sofa base pieces that can fasten and enclose a hollow space inside of the base. Sofa backs, cushions, tools and parts all can be placed inside of the sofa base during storage and shipping inside of a box optimally made of cardboard. The box only needs to be big enough to contain the base piece. The sofa back can then be attached to the seat frame by metal threaded rods. The arms can be attached to the sides using the hardware and the cushions put in place. Supporting legs are screwed onto the bottom by hand and the sofa is complete.

Each base unit includes a rectangular frame portion defining a top surface, a plurality of side members, a bottom side, and a storage volume, a plurality of spaced apertures, upholstery covering the top surface and side members, and at least one flexible flap operationally connected to the bottom side. The rectangular frame portion further includes a closed cell polyurethane matrix portion exhibiting at least some properties associated with wood, a particulate portion homogeneously distributed and suspended in the matrix portion. The particulate portion is selected from the group consisting of fiberglass, hemp fiber, textile fibers, cotton fibers, textile strips, poly(azanediyl-1,4-phenyleneazanediylterephthaloyl) fiber, graphene, graphite, carbon nanotubes, alumina, silica, Portland cement, aluminum powder, steel powder, iron powder, iron filings, copper powder, tungsten carbide, boron nitride, diamond, amorphous carbon, and combinations thereof. The composite material has a tensile strength between 5.5 MPa and 70 MPa and a density between 0.15 g/cc and 1.2 g/cc.
