A shaped charge liner may include an apex portion and a skirt portion extending from the apex portion. The skirt portion may include a body connected to the apex portion, a perimeter spaced apart from the apex portion, and a carbide layer extending between and spaced apart from the perimeter and the apex portion. A shaped charge for creating a perforation hole in a wellbore casing may include a shaped charge liner having at least one material having hardness that is greater than a corresponding hardness of the wellbore casing. The at least one material is configured to bond to at least one of an outer surface and an inner surface of the perforation hole upon detonation of the shaped charge and penetration of the casing by a perforation jet.
CEMENTED CARBIDE WITH ALTERNATIVE BINDER
The present disclosure relates to a cutting tool including a cemented carbide substrate having WC, gamma phase and a binder phase. The substrate is provided with a binder phase enriched surface zone, which is depleted of gamma phase, wherein no graphite and no ETA phase is present in the microstructure and wherein the binder phase is a high entropy alloy.
Material and processes for additively manufacturing one or more parts
Material is provided for forming a part using a manufacturing system. The material includes a plurality of discrete particles. Each of the particles includes a metal powder core encapsulated by a non-metal coating. At least the cores of the particles are adapted to be solidified together by the manufacturing system to form the part.
BROWN BODY INCLUDING A METAL NANOPARTICLE BINDER
According to examples, a brown body has from about 0.02 wt. % to about 10 wt. % of a metal nanoparticle binder, in which the metal nanoparticle binder is selectively located within an area of the brown body to impart a strength greater than about 1 kPa to the area.
FIBER CLOTH HAVING FUNCTIONAL COMPOSITE PARTICLES AND PREPARATION METHOD THEREFOR
The present application relates to fiber cloth having functional composite particles and a preparation method therefor. The preparation method comprises: placing a solid metal block consisting of functional metal particles into a crucible using an evaporation and condensation process, and heating and evaporating the same into a vacuum physical vapor deposition (PVD) process furnace for condensation; depositing PVD ceramic layers on the outer surfaces of the functional metal particles under the condensed state using a PVD process to form the functional composite particles; and screening the functional composite particles by means of a particle filter and accelerating the particles to bombard the fiber cloth, thereby implanting the functional composite particles into the fiber cloth to form the fiber cloth having the functional composite particles. The functional composite particles in the present application can reduce contact between the internal functional metal particles and external oxygen, slowly release ionic metal ions of the functional metal particles, and prolong the action time of the functional metal particles. According to the present application, by implanting the functional composite particles into the fiber cloth, the fiber cloth with a long lasting antibacterial effect can be obtained.
RARE EARTH-BONDED MAGNETIC POWDER AND PREPARATION METHOD THEREFOR, AND BONDED MAGNET
The present invention discloses rare earth-bonded magnetic powder and a preparation method therefor. The bonded magnetic powder is of a multilayer core-shell structure, and comprises a core layer and an antioxidant layer (3), wherein the core layer is formed by RFeMB, R is Nd and/or PrNd, and M is one or more of Co, Nb, and Zr; and the core layer is coated with an iron-nitrogen layer (2). In addition, the present invention also discloses the preparation method for the rare earth-bonded magnetic powder and a bonded magnet. The oxidation and corrosion of magnetic raw powder during phosphorization and subsequent treatment process are effectively prevented, thereby further improving the long-term temperature resistance and environmental tolerance of the material.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR NANOFUNCTIONALIZATION OF POWDERS
Some variations provide a system for producing a functionalized powder, comprising: an agitated pressure vessel; first particles and second particles contained within the agitated pressure vessel; a fluid contained within the agitated pressure vessel; an exhaust line for releasing the fluid from the agitated pressure vessel; and a means for recovering a functionalized powder containing the second particles disposed onto surfaces of the first particles. A preferred fluid is carbon dioxide in liquefied or supercritical form. The carbon dioxide may be initially loaded into the pressure vessel as solid carbon dioxide. The pressure vessel may be batch or continuous and is operated under reaction conditions to functionalize the first particles with the second particles, thereby producing a functionalized powder, such as nanofunctionalized metal particles in which nanoparticles act as grain refiners for a component ultimately produced from the nanofunctionalized metal particles. Methods for making the functionalized powder are also disclosed.
METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING A BEVELLED STONE, PARTICULARLY FOR A HOROLOGICAL MOVEMENT
