A decorative leg cover, the leg cover comprising: a light and a receptacle for receiving a bed leg. The light includes a light housing and an LED on the front side of the light housing. The light also includes a proximity sensor on the front side. The receptacle has a receptacle opening therein adapted to receive the bed leg, the light being mounted on the receptacle so that the LED shines away from the receptacle.

A structure includes an item of furniture coupled to a lift system. The lifting system is configured to move the item of furniture vertically along a path between a lowered position and a raised position. The item of furniture is coupled to the lifting system in a manner that allows the item of furniture to move upward along the path when the lifting system is stationary. When the item of furniture is in the lowered position, it is supported on the floor of the structure. This configuration allows the item of furniture to float relative to the lifting system so that when the item of furniture reaches the lowered position, it is supported only by the floor and not the lifting system.

The locking assembly has a lock actuator (801) having actuated and released positions. The top (104) is movable when the lock actuator (801) is in the actuated position. The locking assembly locking the top (104) in the open, closed, or an intermediate position when the lock actuator (801) is in the released position. The latching actuator (110) and the lock actuator (801) are operatively connected to the top (104) and move with the top (104) between the closed and the opened position.

The latching assembly (500) has a latching actuator (110) movable between first and second positions. The latching assembly (500) locks the top (104) to the base (102) when the top (104) is in the closed position and the latching actuator (110) is in the first position and releases the top (104) from the base (102) when the latching actuator (110) is in the second position. The locking assembly has a lock actuator (801) having actuated and released positions. The top (104) is movable when the lock actuator (801) is in the actuated position. The locking assembly locking the top (104) in the open, closed, or an intermediate position when the lock actuator (801) is in the released position. The latching actuator (110) and the lock actuator (801) are operatively connected to the top (104) and move with the top (104) between the closed and the opened position.

A bed having a headboard wherein the headboard includes an integrated sink so as to facilitate the execution of hygienic tasks for an individual disposed in the bed such as but not limited to washing of the individual's hair. The headboard includes a body that is planar in manner wherein the body includes a first end, a second end, a lower edge and an upper edge all combining to define the shape thereof. The body of the headboard is hingedly secured to the bed proximate the lower edge of the headboard. The headboard is movable between a first position and a second position. In the second position the headboard is horizontal in orientation. The sink is manufactured from a material and is formed in a shape that facilitates the moving of the sink between a first position and a second position.

A filler formed to fit underneath a bed frame is provided. The filler includes a membrane. The membrane may include a top layer, bottom layer, and a sidewall connecting the top layer and the bottom layer together. An internal pocket is formed within the membrane. The internal pocket is capable of receiving and retaining a gas, thereby making the membrane an inflatable membrane. A valve is secured to the membrane and forms a fluid connection from the internal pocket to an outside, allowing users to inflate and deflate the membrane.
