PORTABLE TURNING MACHINE
A portable turning machine includes a support placed on and fixed to a floor, a ring base supported by the support, a turning ring that is turnably supported by the ring base and arranged on an outer circumference side of a collector ring, a motor for turning ring that turns the turning ring, and a tool that is attached to the turning ring and is used for performing corrective machining of the collector ring. The ring base has a structure that is dividable into a lower dividable type ring base and an upper dividable type ring base. The turning ring has a structure that is dividable into a lower dividable type turning ring and an upper dividable type turning ring.
Fastening device
A fastening device has a first fastening member with a plurality of teeth and a second fastening member with a plurality of sockets which are sequentially engagable in tooth and socket pairs in an engagement direction by relative rotation of the tooth and socket. Each tooth has a first surface and a second surface fixed relative to the first surface. Each socket has a recess defined by a first wall and second wall fixed relative to the first wall. Upon engagement, the first and second surfaces of the tooth abut the respective first and second walls of the recess and prevent relative movement of the tooth in the engagement direction and a portion of the first wall of the socket closely abutting the first surface of the tooth is disposed between the tooth and a portion of the first fastening member and prevents relative separation of the tooth and socket.

Tool carrier assembly for use at a lathe and lathe having such tool carrier assembly
A tool carrier assembly for use at a machine tool, which includes at least one workpiece-carrying spindle for rotatably driving a workpiece received in the workpiece-carrying spindle. The tool carrier assembly includes a first slide being movable in a first direction, a tool carrier being supported on the first slide and configured to hold a plurality of tools, a tool drive unit including a tool drive for engaging with one of the plurality of tools held by the tool carrier to rotatably drive said tool, when the tool is arranged at a tool drive position with respect to the tool drive, and a drive mechanism for driving movement of the first slide together with the tool carrier in the first direction relative to the tool drive position, when the tool drive is disengaged with the tool, to relatively move another tool of the plurality of tools into the tool drive position.
Machine tool
A machine tool which removal-machines a workpiece by a tool includes an in-machine robot provided in a machining chamber, and a cleaning mechanism that cleans the in-machine robot by removing an adhering substance adhering to the in-machine robot. When the in-machine robot is cleaned, the in-machine robot moves relative to the cleaning mechanism and positions in proximity to the cleaning mechanism.

A MILLING AND LASER DRILLING SYSTEM
A method of manufacturing a component includes shaping a workpiece into a component having a desired shape and drilling a plurality of holes in said workpiece. The drilling includes continuously moving said workpiece and selectively operating a laser when said workpiece is at a predetermined position. The shaping and drilling occur in the same piece of equipment.
Machine tool with work transferring mechanism
A machine tool with work transferring mechanism provided with a work transferring mechanism which transfers a work and receives/delivers the work from/to a main spindle. In the front-rear direction, the space inside the machine tool is divided via a shutter into a machining space in which the main spindle is arranged and a transferring space in which the work transferring mechanism transfers the work. The work transferring mechanism is equipped with a work retainer retaining the work and a moving mechanism moving the work retainer. While the work attached to the main spindle is machined, the work retainer is preliminarily moved by the moving mechanism to a vicinity of the main spindle via the shutter.

Spindle device
In a spindle device, a movable member is provided on a cover member, which is attached to a spindle housing and covers the outer peripheral surface of a chuck portion which is a disk-shaped rotating member. The movable member is moved by a gas flowing through a flow passage formed in the cover member and thereby brought into contact with the chuck portion. The movable member is electrically connected to a ground.
