Method and apparatus for milling pen blanks
11154941 · 2021-10-26 · ·

A pen milling device and a method for milling pen blanks therewith. The device has a body selectively engageable with a rotating apparatus. A replaceable cutter is engaged with the body such that a cutting edge thereof extends outwardly beyond the body's end surface. The cutter has multiple cutting edges and may be reoriented relative to the body if a presented cutting edge becomes dull or damaged. A reamer extending outwardly from the body includes at least one flute. As the device is rotated, the cutter removes material from a pen blank and the reamer removes dried adhesive from a bore of a pen tube secured within a hole defined in the pen blank The device removes all of the pen material extending between an end of the pen blank and an associated end of the pen tube.

Conduit Reamer
20210316370 · 2021-10-14 ·

A conduit reamer with a lanyard receiver, inner and/or outer cutting blades is provided. The lanyard receiver is located along an axis of the handle near the tool's center of gravity. For example, the lanyard receiver is located between the handle and a bit retainer near the center of gravity. In this orientation, the lanyard receiver prevents tipping of the conduit reamer and retains the bit within the bit retainer when the conduit reamer is dropped. The inner and outer cutting blades include an acute angle that is between 45 and 90 degrees to deburr an end of a conduit.

Rotary cutter for cutting damaged threads of a bolt
11090746 · 2021-08-17 · ·

A rotary cutter for cutting damaged threads of a bolt includes a body rotatable about a rotating axis. The body includes a connecting end and an operative end. The body includes an inner periphery delimiting a cutting space extending along the rotating axis from the operative end towards but spaced from the connecting end. A width of the cutting space in a diametric direction perpendicular to the rotating axis gradually reduces from the operative end toward the connecting end to form a conic space. The body further includes at least one cutting blade disposed on the inner periphery. The at least one cutting blade includes a first cutting blade section and a second cutting blade section. The first cutting blade section is arcuate or rectilinear. The second cutting blade section is arcuate or rectilinear. The first and second cutting blade sections are not identical.

Chamfering tool with guide for eliminating vibrations
11045877 · 2021-06-29 · ·

The invention relates to a cutting machine with a receiving area for a tube section and with a tool head (1) which can be rotated relative to the receiving area about a longitudinal axis (L), has at least one cutting tool (6) for machining a tube section end (40) of the tube section located in the receiving area, and has a support component (2), wherein the support component faces the receiving area and has an annular component (3) which rotates relative to the support component (2) about the longitudinal axis (L) and is designed to be randomly supported on a tube wall (42, 42) of the tube section end (40). The invention further relates to a corresponding method for reducing vibrations.

Facer for end fusion of polyolefin pipes

A facer facing the ends of polyolefin pipes for butt fusion is modular in the sense that it employs three types of modules, a drive unit, two blade holders and a motor assembly, that are separable from one another and each independently light enough to be hand-lifted along walls and up to ceilings. The drive unit module is adjustable to accommodate different guide rail spacings. The blade holder modules are interchangeable to accommodate different diameters of pipe. The motor assembly module has multispeed capability to accommodate the total area of material to be faced. Each module can be exchanged or modified without use of tools to change the geometry of the assembled facer to accommodate different fusion machines and/or diameters of pipe within working spaces dictated by the diameter of the pipe and not by a fixed geometry of a facer.

Pipe edge preparation tool

A tool for performing work on a workpiece, such as a pipe, includes a mandrel assembly configured to secure to an interior portion of the pipe. The mandrel assembly includes an arm assembly configured to retain a cutting apparatus so as to be positioned at an outside portion of the pipe and to allow the cutting apparatus to revolve around the circumference of the pipe to perform work on the pipe. The mandrel assembly includes a hub and a plurality of jaws that allow it to secure to the interior of the pipe while the arm assembly props the cutting apparatus in a position to facilitate performing work on the pipe around the entire circumference of a section of the pipe. The engagement between the mandrel assembly and the pipe supports the weight of the tool, providing ease of use and improved control for pipe cutting operations.

AMMUNITION CASE TRIMMER

An ammunition case trimmer, components thereof, and associated methods. The ammunition case trimmer includes a shroud and a cutter. The cutter is supported in the shroud by at least one rotational bearing. The shroud defines a case guide for receiving the case and guiding the case into engagement with a cutting head of the cutter. The shroud is rotatable with respect to the cutter about the axis of rotation. A proximal free end of the cutter is arranged with respect to the shroud to permit reception of the proximal free end in a chuck of a drill.

Pipe rotator assembly

A pipe rotator assembly includes a frame upon which a cylindrical pipe is supportable, and a wheel rotatably coupled to the frame and engageable with the pipe for imparting rotation thereto in response to rotation of the wheel. The pipe rotator assembly additionally includes a drive shaft coupled to the wheel for transferring torque thereto, causing the wheel to rotate, and a drive unit for providing torque to the drive shaft. The drive unit includes an electric motor and an onboard power source for powering the motor.
