Voice-activated bed frame illumination with smart phone control and related structures
Bed structures are presented. The bed structure may include a bed frame for supporting at least one of a mattress or a mattress foundation, at least one illumination device mounted on the bed frame, and a control system. The control system includes at least one sensor and being configured to illuminate the at least one illumination device responsive to predetermined environmental conditions determined by the at least one sensor. In another aspect, a bed structure includes at least one illumination device mounted on the bed frame, and a control system configured to illuminate the at least one illumination device responsive to predetermined environmental conditions. The control system includes a motion sensor, a light sensor, a timer, and a remote control system facilitating operation of the at least one illumination device responsive to user input control or a predetermined control sequence.
SLEEPER BARRIER ACCESSORY
A sleeper aide accessory as described herein provides relief to individuals whose slumber may be interrupted by another sleeper's physical disturbances. The accessory dampens such movements, dissuades sheet and blanket pulling, regulates temperature, and even provides storage. The shape of the accessory is substantially sinusoidal and may be formed from polyurethane foam. The accessory comprises a linearly elongated base from which vertical fins and lateral fins extend. The accessory provides a barrier which temporarily sits on top of a blanket during sleep. The space between vertical fins may allow sleepers to retain a degree of intimacy without compromising the effectiveness of the barrier. Furthermore, any of the vertical fins may comprise a sleeve which may be utilized to store a reading device, a water reservoir, device charging capabilities, and other utilitarian features.
BONE CONDUCTION BODY SUPPORT SYSTEM
Embodiments described herein provide for a bone conduction system configured as a pillow, bed cushion, seat or similar body support device. The bone conduction system comprises a plurality of transducers positioned about the pillow, bed cushion, seat or similar body support which when ergonomically positioned on the users skull transmit sound waves to the inner ear.
Fear Reducing Blockade and Methods of Making and Using Same
Disclosed herein is an apparatus to block off a space under a bed frame, the apparatus comprising a longitudinal member configured to fill a gap between a floor and a lower edge of the elongated portion of the bed frame, the first end of the longitudinal member being removably connected to the first leg of the bed frame by a first connector, and the second end of the longitudinal member being removably connected to the second leg of the bed frame by a second connector. Corresponding systems and methods also are disclosed.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR IMPROVING QUALITY OF SLEEP AND MATTRESS COMPRISING THE SYSTEM
The present invention relates to a method for improving sleep quality, comprising the steps of measuring pressure by means of sensors in locations distributed by regions of a mattress; calculating the SQI based on the prominent movements detected depending on the time of night; calculating the mean pressure measured by each sensor; calculating the difference between the mean pressure and the pressure measured by that sensor when there is no user on the mattress; calculating the mean pressure difference for each region of the mattress; calculating a weight factor for each region of the mattress; comparing the weight factor with a reference value; varying the configuration of the mattress by increasing or reducing the support level in the regions. The present invention also relates to a related system and mattress.
VOICE ACTIVATED ADJUSTABLE BED SYSTEM
A voice activated adjustable bed system is disclosed which has a voice activated module capable of receiving a voice command, converting the voice command into a signal, and transmitting the signal, an adjustable bed having a motor for adjusting a portion of the adjustable bed, and a module capable of receiving the transmitted signal and for operating the motor for adjusting the portion of the adjustable bed.
Device for Inducing Relaxation and Sleep
The invention is a sleeping or resting devicesuch as a mattresswhich plays music and vibrates. The invention contains multiple vibration units that provide vibrations for a user reclining on top, as well as speakers that provide audio. The vibration units can be controlled through an external devicesuch as a smartphoneto change its frequency and intensity. The speakers are also able to be controlled through the same external device to change its volume as well as control what is being played. The vibration units and speakers are controlled in groups, in which the vibration is based off the audio of the speakers in that group. Groups are controlled separately. The combination of vibration and audio would aid an individual using the invention to relax and to improve their sleep experience, including bringing the individual to a sleeping state more quickly.
BED HAVING PHYSIOLOGICAL EVENT DETECTING FEATURE
A first bed that includes a first mattress, first pressure sensor, first acoustic sensor, and first controller configured to receive first pressure readings and first acoustic readings. The first controller is further configured to transmit the first pressure readings and the first acoustic readings to a remote server. The system further includes a second bed that includes a second mattress, a second pressure sensor, a second acoustic sensor and a second controller configured to run the received physiological event classifiers on second pressure readings and on second acoustic readings in order to collect one or more physiological event votes from the running physiological event classifiers and operate the bed system according to the indicated physiological event.
SNORE SENSING BED
A system can include a foundation structure and a sensor. The foundation structure can have a plurality of deck panels configured to support a mattress. The plurality of deck panels can include a head panel. The plurality of deck panels can have a head, a foot, a first side, and a second side, a first edge along the head, a second edge along the foot opposite of the first edge, a third edge along the first side, and a fourth edge along the second side opposite the third edge. The sensor can be configured to detect a sound indicative of a snore. The sensor can be positioned along the third edge or fourth edge of the head panel.
BED HOOD
A protective hood for individuals positioned in hazard areas is provided that comprises a constant hood structure having an opening, wherein the hood structure is configured to accommodate a portion of a bed that partially protrudes through the opening; a closing board outwardly connected to the hood structure and positioned opposite the opening; and a movable portion sleeved juxtaposed to the constant structure, wherein the movable portion is configured to move relative to the constant structure so as to elongate the constant structure from a first position in which the movable portion is fully adjacent to the constant structure and a second position in which the movable portion is extended outwardly beyond the opening so as to cling to the closing board and form a protected and secure inner space.
