MATTRESS WITH EMBEDDED TRANSDUCERS
Furniture such as a mattresses and beds containing mattresses include transducers disposed within the furniture and exposed from external surfaces of the furniture to deliver sounds or ranges of sonic frequencies in a sonic wave vibration format through the furniture to the occupant of the furniture and audible format through external speakers to an area around the furniture.
Rocking bed with braking mechanism
A rocking bed foundation includes an upper frame supported on rollers over a lower frame such that the upper frame can support a mattress for transverse reciprocal movement under the influence of a driver mounted within the foundation and further such that the upper frame can be locked to prevent movement when the driver is disengaged.
Adjustable foundation
An adjustable foundation and process includes a mattress support surface including a head and back section hingedly connected to an intermediate section at one end and a leg and foot section hingedly connected to the intermediate section at another end, wherein the intermediate section includes a first portion and a second portion, wherein the first portion is hingedly connected to the head and back section and the second portion is hingedly connected to the leg and foot section. The intermediate or seat section is configured to increase in length upon articulation of the head and back section and/or the leg and foot section from a flat position or an increase in inclination of any section. Likewise, the intermediate or seat section is configured to decrease in length upon articulation of the head and back section and/or the leg and foot section from an inclined position to a flat position or a decrease in length upon declination of any section. By doing so, a prone user does not have to shift his position on the mattress in order to accommodate the inclination or declination.
Rocking device
A device for rocking a hammock holding a human is described. The device includes a frame, a lever arm, a solenoid, a cord, and a signaling device. The lever arm pivots about a pivot point to move within the frame. The solenoid is connected to the lever arm to apply a force to rotate the lever arm. The lever arm is connected via the cord to the hammock. As the lever arm moves from one position to another within the frame, the signaling device detects the position of the lever arm and signals to turn on the solenoid to apply a force to the lever arm to rock the hammock.
Electric bed
An electric bed includes: a bed body, a plurality of bed planks, a wake-up device, a clock and a main control box. The main control box is electrically connected to the wake-up device and the clock, and is applicable for storing a wake-up time. The electric bed further includes a monitoring module. The monitoring module includes a processing module and a sensor, wherein the sensor is electrically connected to the processing module, and is applicable for monitoring whether a user has left the bed; if the sensor monitors that the user has not left the bed, the processing module activates the wake-up device when the wake-up time on the clock is due according to the stored wake-up time; and if the sensor monitors that the user has left the bed, the processing module does not activate the wake-up device when the wake-up time on the clock is due.
SLEEP INDUCTION DEVICE
A sleep induction device for oscillating a bed to induce a user of the bed to sleep can be applied to a bed of any size. A bed including a drive leg support including a movable leg holder slidable in a predetermined direction within a predetermined range, a drive means for reciprocally sliding the movable leg holder within a predetermined range, and a driven leg support including the movable leg holder, wherein the sleep induction device oscillates a bed having legs mounted on the drive leg support and the driven leg support by reciprocally oscillated by reciprocally sliding the movable leg holder of the drive leg support.
DEVICE FOR PRODUCING RHYTHMIC MOVEMENT AND VIBRATING BED HAVING THE SAME
A reciprocating device applied to a load-bearing member includes a motor, an eccentric wheel, a first pulley disposed on a movable base of the load-bearing member, a first belt, and a recovery mechanism disposed on the movable base. The motor and the eccentric wheel are disposed on a fixed base of the load-bearing member. The eccentric wheel is connected to the motor to be driven to rotate around an eccentric shaft of the eccentric wheel. The first belt surrounds the eccentric wheel and the first pulley. The eccentric wheel is operatively coupled to the first pulley via the first belt. When the eccentric wheel is rotated by the motor, the first pulley and the movable base connected to the first pulley is operatively coupled to the eccentric wheel. The recovery mechanism provides a reverse force to the movable base according to said linkage.
Adjustable foundation
An adjustable foundation and process includes a mattress support surface including a head/back section hingedly connected to an intermediate section at one end and a leg/foot section hingedly connected to the intermediate section at another end, wherein the intermediate section includes a first second portions, wherein the first portion is hingedly connected to the head/back section and the second portion is hingedly connected to the leg/foot section. The intermediate section is configured to increase in length upon articulation of the head/back section and/or the leg/foot section from a flat position or an increase in inclination of any section. Likewise, the intermediate section is configured to decrease in length upon articulation of the head/back section and/or the leg/ foot section from an inclined position to a flat position or a decrease in length upon declination of any section.
Smooch n' snore [TM]: devices to create a plurality of adjustable acoustic and/or thermal zones in a bed
This invention is a device which creates adjustable acoustic and/or thermal zones in a bed to address sleep issues such as bed partner snoring and hot flashes. Adjustable acoustic bed zones can be created with a flexible movable partition which longitudinally spans a bed from an arch at the head of the bed to an arch at the foot of the bed. Adjustable thermal bed zones can be created with inflow and outflow flexible longitudinal air tubes which are inserted into a space between layers of bedding.
Sleep pod
Introduced are methods and systems for a sleep pod. An occupant of a sleep pod can have a personalized sleeping experience based on an analysis of biological signals, environmental characteristics, occupant history, and other factors.
