PILLOW COVER AND METHOD OF USE
A pillow cover which includes a pocket for receiving a pillow and blanket or sheet material extending away from the pocket to provide a combination pillow and blanket. This provides a comfortable sleeping object which allows for additional covering of the arms and/or body while also providing a sleeping surface for the user's head. The blanket or sheet material may end in a covering flap along one or more of its edges. These covering flaps provide a cavity for receiving a portion of the user's body, such as an arm. These flaps may further be secured on one end with a seam to form a partially closed pocket, or the flaps may be free along their ends.
Mechanical bed mattress and frame encasement cover
The disclosed mechanical bed mattress and frame encasement cover includes a top cover, a base encasement cover which overlaps frame base and two middle adjustment perimeter bands there between and an inside cover. The 5 covers and bands are separated by 4 zippered seams. The encasement cover comprises a high durometer perimeter band which overlaps an outer and a lower edge of the bed base. A zipper is located on a lower inner edge of the bed frame pad. An inner zipper is disposed on all 4 sides on a top side of the bed frame base pad. A zipper direction to a foot of the cover and a zipper direction to a head of the cover allow bidirectional enclosure of the bed frame and mattress. The cover wrap direction and perimeter bands enable a secure cover of the bed frame and mattress for less movement during bed dynamics.
ACTIVE MATTRESS SPINNER
A device is disclosed for facilitating rotation of a mattress in a horizontal plane carried by a box spring or a platform. In order to facilitate rotation, slick surfaces between the mattress and the box spring or platform are selectively placed in contact in order to reduce the normal friction therebetween. The slick surfaces may be provided by two (2) separate covers; one cover for the mattress and one cover for the box spring or platform. A first cover is provided with a slick and non-slick surface. In order to further facilitate rotation, a second cover includes a slick surface on one side and forms part of a levitation device. The other side of the second cover may be formed with a slick or a non-slick surface. The levitation device creates an air cushion between the mattress and the box spring under the influence of an air supply which lifts the mattress and allows the mattress to be rotated in a horizontal plane virtually effortlessly. Once the mattress has been rotated to the desired position, the air supply is removed and the first cover is attached to the underside of the mattress so that its non-slick side is in contact with the box spring or platform or bed skirt and its slick side is in contact with the slick side of the other cover and the levitation device defining a normal mode of operation. In a rotate mode of operation, the first cover is attached to the box spring or platform so that its non-slick surface is in contact therewith. Alternatively, the first cover may be integrally incorporated into the box spring or a slick surface may be integrally formed on the platform that forms part of the platform bed. In this embodiment, in order to reduce movement of the mattress with respect to the box spring or platform, the mattress is secured relative to the box spring or platform by removable fasteners in a normal mode of operation. In yet another alternate embodiment of the invention, a portion of the levitation device may be built into the mattress.
SHEET SECURING SYSTEM AND METHOD
A system and method to securely fasten a cover sheet to a fitted sheet that is fitted over a mattress. The system can include a button receptacle connected to and extending along the bottom end of the cover sheet and a button fastener connected to the cover sheet that engages with the button receptacle to securely align the cover sheet with the fitted sheet.
BED SHEET FASTENER
The present application discloses a bedsheet fastening device for fastening bedsheet to a mattress and holding it in place. The device comprises magnets configured to hold the bedsheet to the mattress and prevent it from rumpling. In some embodiments, the device comprises a plurality sets of magnets with each set of magnets comprising a first piece of magnet and a second piece of magnet. The first piece of magnet is affixed to the mattress and the second piece of magnet can be attached to and removed from the first piece of magnet. The plurality sets of magnets are arranged on the mattress and can hold a bedsheet securely in place. The bedsheet can be removed by separating the first piece of magnet from the second piece in each set. In some embodiments, magnets are housed in a protective cover or a holder, for example, an insert or a panel.
Bedding assembly
A bedding assembly includes a cushion, a cushion cover, a top cover and a coupling unit. The cushion has opposite lateral surfaces. The cushion cover accommodates the cushion and has opposite first and second cover portions that are respectively adjacent to the lateral surfaces of the cushion. The top cover is laid on top of the cushion cover and has opposite first and second side portions that are respectively adjacent to the first and second cover portions of the cushion cover. The coupling unit includes a first coupling subunit that separably couples the first cover portion to the first portion, and a second coupling subunit that separably couples the second cover portion to the second side portion.
SHEET SETS WITH ATTACHMENT DEVICES
Sheet sets are disclosed herein that comprise a fitted sheet adapted to be placed over a mattress, a top sheet adapted to be placed atop the fitted sheet and having a first width, a sheet extension extending from a first edge of the top sheet and having a second width, wherein the second width is shorter than the first width, and at least one fastening device adapted to couple the top sheet to the fitted sheet.
TRAVEL PILLOW WITH ANCHORING FEATURES
Travel pillows include anchor mechanisms. The travel pillows can include anchor mechanisms with anchor bodies such as straps. The anchor bodies can be attached to the travel pillow body, such as to the rear of the travel pillow body, or alternatively can be detachable from the travel pillow body. The anchor mechanisms can also include loops through which the anchor bodies can pass before reattaching to themselves or attaching to another element such as a cover of the travel pillow body. The anchor bodies can be placed around a portion of a headrest, such as headrest wings, to prevent or make less likely a user's head and/or body falling forward inadvertently.
Adjustable mattress retainer bars
A mattress retention assembly is disclosed that includes a mattress retainer system for retaining a mattress in place that is supported by an adjustable platform assembly and more particularly to a mattress retainer system that includes mattress retainer bars. The mattress retainer system is attached to the adjustable platform assembly. In order to secure the mattress relative to the adjustable platform assembly, one or more mattress retainer bars for the head and foot of the bed along with the corners of the bed are provided. In accordance with an important aspect of the invention, the mattress retainer bars are movable or removable to allow the mattress retainer bars to be positioned flush or below the top surface of the adjustable platform assembly to enable easy and convenient rotation, maneuverability, or otherwise sliding of the mattress relative to the platform. After the mattress is rotated, maneuvered, or slid, the mattress retainer is re-positioned to restrain movement of the mattress with respect to the adjustable platform assembly.
Tent-Like Comforter
The present invention introduces a non-contacting or tent-like comforter, which has one or more air gaps between parts of the user's body and the comforter portions right above said parts of the user's body when the comforter is in use, and at least part of the weight of the comforter body is not directly supported by the user or the bed. The invention also introduces a process that creates one or more air gaps between parts of the user's body and the comforter portions right above said parts of the user's body, and at least part of the weight of the comforter body is not directly supported by the user or the bed.
