Arbor damping device
The present invention provides an arbor damping device, including a rod body, a damper, two flexible absorbers and at least one flexible damping adjusting member. The rod body has an internal chamber, and the internal chamber includes a circumferential wall and two end walls. The damper is received in the internal chamber. The damper includes a side surface opposite to the circumferential wall and two end surfaces respectively opposite to the two end walls. The two flexible absorbers are disposed between the two end walls and the two end surfaces respectively. The at least one flexible damping adjusting member is radially disposed between the circumferential wall and the side surface, and axially disposed between the end walls and the two flexible absorbers.
PORTABLE BORING MACHINE
A boring bar assembly, a feed assembly, an alignment device for a boring bar assembly. The boring bar assembly may include a boring bar extending along a bar axis; a drive unit including a drive unit housing, and a drive mechanism supported by the drive unit housing and operable to rotate the bar about the bar axis; a feed assembly configured to move the bar along the bar axis; and a lead screw engageable with the feed assembly and defining a lead screw axis
HOLDER, CUTTING TOOL, AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING MACHINED PRODUCT
The holder includes a body having a rod shape extending from a first end surface to a second end surface and including a large-diameter portion which is a recess extending from the first end surface, a weight located in the large-diameter portion, a ring-shaped first elastic member, and a lid press-fitted into the large-diameter portion from the side of the first end surface. The inner peripheral surface of the large-diameter portion includes a first region located on the side of the first end surface and a second region located closer to the second end surface than the first region. The first elastic member comes into contact with the inner peripheral surface of the large-diameter portion in the second region to fix the weight to the inner peripheral surface. The surface roughness of the second region is greater than the surface roughness of the first region.
Method and apparatus for center height alignment of a boring bar
A method and apparatus for center height alignment of a boring bar is disclosed. The apparatus includes a seat member with a bottom and a back, and a digital angle gauge mounted to the seat member. The method includes the steps of: assembling an apparatus comprising a seat member and a digital angle gauge; calibrating the apparatus such that a Display of the digital angle gauge reads zero degrees; and aligning the center height of the boring bar by rotating the boring bar such that the Display of the digital angle gauge reads zero degrees when the apparatus is mounted onto the boring bar.

Boring bar arrangement
A boring-bar arrangement includes a boring bar, a securing device, and a clamping bolt. The securing device has a reduction sleeve, which is secured in a tool chuck, which has a front end that faces away from the tool chuck and a protruding hollow section which receives the boring bar. The hollow section has a hollow-section interior, a hollow-section outer wall, and a hollow-section wall which is arranged therebetween. The hollow-section wall has a first thickness in a side region where the cutting tool protrudes from the boring bar which is less than a second thickness in a rest of the hollow-section wall. The boring bar is releasably secured as a replaceable head, via its back end, at a front end of the protruding hollow section. A front end of the clamping bolt has a male thread which sits in the female thread of the boring bar.

Formed rotary cutting tool
A formed rotary cutting tool includes a cutting edge defining a cutting edge diameter that is increased and reduced in a direction of an axis of the tool, so as to have at least one neck portion in which the cutting edge diameter is minimized. The cutting tool includes a roughing portion which is provided on a periphery thereof and which is constituted by a succession of protrusions and recesses arranged in the direction of the axis. The roughing portion includes (i) a fine roughing portion that is provided in at least one of the at least one neck portion, and (ii) another portion that is provided in a portion that is other than the at least one of the at least one neck portion. The fine roughing portion of the roughing portion is different in characteristics from the above-described another portion of the roughing portion.
