MODULAR BORING HEAD WITH FINE ADJUSTMENT CLICK MECHANISM
A modular boring head includes a tubular main body having an internal thread with a first pitch and a pair of axially extending cantilevered members. A movable rod engages the tubular main body such that the movable rod is movable with respect to the tubular main body in an axial direction, D. The movable rod has an internal thread with a second pitch different than the first pitch. A leadscrew is disposed within the tubular main body and has a plurality of gear teeth. Rotation of the leadscrew causes the pair of axially extending cantilevered members of the tubular main body to cooperatively engage with the plurality of gear teeth of the leadscrew in such a manner so as to produce an audible and tactile click, each click being indicative of a distance the movable rod is displaced with respect to the tubular main body.
MACHINING TOOL COMPRISING A SETTABLE GUIDE RAIL
A machining tool for producing or machining bores, respectively, with high positional and/or surface quality, comprising a tool axis and a tool carrier section, which carries at least one tool blade and at least one guide rail, which radially supports the tool carrier section on a bore wall. The guide rail can be set with respect to its radial position and with respect to its tilt relative to the tool axis by means of a setting means, which engages with a guide rail carrier. In order to put together a tool, which operates highly precisely and with little effort, the guide rail carrier is connected via a material joint to a section that is fixed to the tool, thus either to the tool carrier section or a component, which can be firmly connected thereto, and the material joint can be blocked by means of the setting means.
BORING TOOL HOLDER AND TURNING TOOL
A boring tool holder has a base member and a cutting insert holding member. The base member has a first main surface and a second main surface opposite to the first main surface. The cutting insert holding member is contiguous to the base member on the first main surface, and disposed in a circumferential direction of the base member as viewed in a direction from the first main surface toward the second main surface. A cross-sectional area of the base member in a cross section perpendicular to the direction from the first main surface toward the second main surface and intersecting the base member is larger than a cross-sectional area of the cutting insert holding member in a cross section perpendicular to the direction from the first main surface toward the second main surface and intersecting the cutting insert holding member.

Device for the precise angular positioning of tool-holders suitable for CNC machines and tool-holders equipped with such device
A device for the precise angular positioning of tool-holders includes a front part, a rear part, and a plug cooperating with a pair of pins arranged orthogonally relative to the plug. A first portion of the plug is inserted in a blind hole formed in the front part and a second portion of the plug is inserted in a corresponding blind hole formed in a front area defining a plate on the rear part of the tool-holder. The plate of the rear part has an upper surface in which a pair of bored holes is formed having equal diameters and depths. The bored holes extend vertically in the plate and orthogonally relative to the plug. A pin is rotatably inserted in each of the pair of bored holes to selectively rotate the plug in a clockwise or counter-clockwise direction to orientate the front part relative to the rear part.
Rotary tool
The invention relates to a rotary tool (1; 101; 201) for cutting large inside diameters at the outer circumference (2) of which at least one cutting edge (4) is arranged, comprising a support structure (10; 110; 210) which indirectly or directly supports the at least one cutting edge (4), and comprising a chucking portion (24) for coupling to a tool holder, wherein the support structure (10; 110; 210) widens in an umbrella-type manner starting from a coupling portion (11) adjacent to the chucking portion (24) and is radially stiffened by a stiffening structure (12).
Cutting method and cutting apparatus
A method for cutting an inner circumferential surface of a rotating hollow cylindrical workpiece includes: holding the workpiece with a chucking device such that a side surface of the workpiece on a first side in an axial direction of the workpiece is in contact with a contact surface of the chucking device; setting an intersection angle between a rotational center line of the workpiece and an imaginary straight line to an angle smaller than 45 degrees, the straight line being parallel to an axis line of a button tip and intersecting with the rotational center line; and setting a feed direction of the button tip to the inner circumferential surface to a direction from a second side in the axial direction of the workpiece toward the first side in the axial direction thereof, and cutting the inner circumferential surface by use of the button tip rotating about the axis line.
