PATIENT SUPPORT PAD
A support pad, including a first cushion layer, a second cushion layer, and a sensing device, is provided. The sensing device is positioned between the first and second cushion layers. The sensing device includes a plurality of sensing elements and a substrate. The substrate includes a plurality of tab portions and a plurality of expandable portions. The sensing elements are respectively mounted to the tab portions. The expandable portions are moveable between contracted and expanded positions in response to pressure applied thereto.
Health Care Air-Flow Heating/Cooling Mattress
A multifunctional mattress having a mattress body and a heating/cooling pressurization apparatus connected to the mattress body; the mattress body comprises independent pressurized circular balloons, alternatingly pressurized square balloons, heating/cooling air supply tubes, and pressurized tubing; the two sides of said heating/cooling air supply tubes are provided with small blow holes; the independent pressurized circular balloons (3) has a surface layer and a bottom layer; the surface layer and bottom layer are joined to form a plurality of independent closed balloons (33); at a position corresponding to the head are independent pressurized circular balloons; the alternatingly pressurized square balloon areas can be inflated or deflated by means of balloons causing the upper layer of sealed balloons to rise or fall.
LOCALISED PERSONAL AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM
An air conditioner system including a sleeping enclosure defining a sleeping space into which conditioned air is adapted to be delivered from one end or side of the sleeping space in a manner which maximizes contact between conditioned air and a person or persons in the sleeping space, the sleeping space including an upper air pervious section; and a lower relatively air impervious section adapted to surround a bed in the sleeping space and configured to minimize passage of the conditioned air from the sleeping space through the pervious section or other leakage paths; and an air conditioner unit for generating a conditioned air flow, wherein the impervious section extends to a height above the sleeping surface of the bed at the end or side of the bed opposed to said end or side sufficient to contain the conditioned air as it moves towards and returns from the opposite end or side of the sleeping space, and wherein the impervious section extends to a sufficiently increased height above the sleeping surface at the opposite end or side to allow the direction of air flow to reverse towards said one end or side without substantial loss of conditioned air through the pervious section.
Target heating method and system within a designated space
A heating system includes a sensing and tracking module to sense length in at least one dimension of an object to-be-heated in a previously determined area. A light source module has at least one light source that can change its lighting direction and can also change its beam angle e along the at least one dimension. A control module is provided for regulating light emitted by the light source module onto the to-be heated object along the at least one dimension to match with the length of the to-be-heated object based on the length sensed by the sensing and tracking module. The heating system described above and a bed incorporated having this kind of heating system may automatically adjust its output power according to the physical characteristics of the object to-be-heated to avoid heating unrelated object, area or space so as to ensure high energy efficiency.

MATTRESS PERMITTING AIRFLOW FOR HEATING AND COOLING
A mattress configured for placement on a foundation that has forced air ventilation with a plurality of air vents on the upwardly facing side of the foundation. The foundation providing a first flow of air having a first temperature and a second flow of air having a second temperature, the mattress defining a first plurality of air flow paths configured to direct the first flow of air toward a first occupant of the mattress and a second plurality of air flow paths configured to direct the second flow of air toward a second occupant of the mattress. The mattress being configured so that air from the air vents is permitted to pass through the mattress.
Performance bed sheets
A bed sheet is provided that includes a knitted performance fabric having a plurality of spaced apart ventilation ports. The knitted performance fabric has a gauge per square inch, grams per square meter, air permeability and material content that are pre-selected to provide the knitted performance fabric with one or more selected physical features.

Bedding climate control apparatus with forced airflow for heating and ventilating
A bedding climate control apparatus that delivers, in a quiet manner, forced airflow from a fan/blower within a housing to selectively deliver tempered (heated via a thermal element) and untempered (room temperature) air through a flexible hose to bedding. The quiet manner is attained with acoustic foam in the path of incoming airflow to the fan/blower and by oversizing each of the components that create a pressure drop including the capacity of the fan/blower over what is needed to deliver a required amount of airflow. Temperature may be set remotely via a wireless remote control and via a Bluetooth enabled device.
A CONTROLLED CLIMATE BED FOR THERMOREGULATORY MODULATION OF A SLEEPER
A climate-controlled bed capable of adapting to the needs of a sleeper via a closed loop feedback control system is provided. The bed includes a thermoelectric energy source, a sensor configured to monitor a physiological temperature of a sleeper, and a control system that regulates a temperature of the bed via the thermoelectric energy source. The control system can utilize data from the sensor to determine optimal thermal needs of the sleeper. The control system can also vary the temperature of the bed during a sleep cycle based on at least one predetermined sleep factor, such as the natural circadian temperature cycle.
