Tool Holder For Ultrasonic Machining
A tool holder for ultrasonic machining used in a machine which supplies power via a spindle is provided with a connector received in the spindle; a conductive ring disposed on the connector and electrically connected to the spindle so as that power is configured to supply to the tool holder; a tool mounting member including an axial hole for fastening a portion of a tool; and an oscillator for producing ultrasonic vibration disposed in the tool mounting member, the oscillator for producing ultrasonic vibration electrically connected to the conductive ring so that power supplied to the oscillator for producing ultrasonic vibration is configured to produce ultrasonic vibration of high frequency. The produced ultrasonic vibration of high frequency is transmitted to the tool via the axial hole.
Tool Holder Having An Arrangement For Delivering Coolant And Transmitting Electric Power
A tool holder used in a machine which supplies power via a spindle and deliveries coolant is provided with a connector in the spindle; a conductive ring on the connector and electrically connected to the spindle so as that power is configured to supply to the tool holder; a tool mounting member including an axial hole for fastening a portion of a tool; an actuator in the tool mounting member and electrically connected to the conductive ring so that power is transmitted to the tool via the axial hole; an axial passageway through both the connector and the tool mounting member; and a waterproof dividing member for dividing the axial passageway into a first channel for delivering coolant and a second channel for passing a wire. The first channel is spaced from the second channel so that electric power transmission and coolant delivery are made independently.
Tool Holder Having A Rigid Sleeve
A tool holder used in a machine having a spindle is provided with a connector including a truncated conic part received in the spindle, and a projection extending out of the truncated conic part; a tool mounting member including an axial hole for fastening a tool and a portion of a chuck, and a receptacle for complimentarily receiving the projection; and at least one sleeve formed of a material having a high rigidity, each sleeve including a cavity at one end, the cavity being configured to complimentarily receive the projection, and a protrusion at the other end, the protrusion being configured to complimentarily attach to the receptacle. The connector, the at least one sleeve, and the tool mounting member are secured together.
Rotating tool having a tool anchorage arrangement following a stepped path and method of positioning said tool
A rotating tool includes a circumferential surface formed with a tool anchorage arrangement. The tool anchorage arrangement follows a stepped path. The tool anchorage arrangement includes an entry recess and, subsequent thereto, a radial recess and, subsequent thereto, an axial recess. Additional radial and axial recesses may be alternated to increase the number of steps, thereby extending the length of the stepped path.
Elliptical ultrasonic machining device powered by non-contact induction
An elliptical ultrasonic machining device powered by non-contact induction mainly includes an induction power supply device and an elliptical ultrasonic spindle shank, wherein: induction power supply secondary units of the induction power supply device encircle a spindle shank shell of the elliptical ultrasonic spindle shank; induction power supply primary units are arranged at a primary magnetic core seat outside the elliptical ultrasonic spindle shank; the primary magnetic core seat and the elliptical ultrasonic spindle shank have a same circle center, and a small gap exists between the primary magnetic core seat and the elliptical ultrasonic spindle shank; the primary magnetic core seat is fastened on a machine tool spindle seat of a machine tool through a support and keeps still; the elliptical ultrasonic spindle shank is mounted on a machine tool spindle through a taper shank and rotates with the spindle in a high speed.
REPLACEABLE TOOL HOLDER
A replaceable tool holder includes a connector adapted to be engaged with and driven to rotate by a spindle, a tool chuck, of which an end is detachably engaged with the connector and another end is adapted to engage a tool, and an electronic component provided in a chamber inside the tool chuck. The connector is provided with a non-contact power transmission device. A passage is provided in the connector and the tool chuck, wherein a wire is disposed in the passage, transmitting electric power to serve the need of the electronic component. With such design, one connector can be used to connect tool chucks of different types or models. Therefore, a user could, as required, replace the connecting interface between the tool holder and the spindle or the connecting interface between the tool holder and the tool. Furthermore, the electronic component could be steadily supplied with electric power.
Lathe Error-Correcting Collet Chuck
An adjustable collet holder for use with a lathe is provided. The adjustable collet holder may include a set of hold down screws to hold it in place once adjusted. Adjustment may be achieved by adjusting multiple set screws to change both angular and concentricity orientations of a collet receiver relative to a body of the collet holder.
Cutter holder with reduced assembly tolerances
A cutter holder has a holder, a collet, and a nut. The holder has a first threaded portion having an external thread, a first abutting surface, a second abutting surface, at least one recess, and at least one sealing member. The at least one recess is recessed in the second abutting surface. The at least one sealing member is mounted in the at least one recess and partially protrudes from the second abutting surface. The nut has a second threaded portion having an internal thread, a third abutting surface, and a fourth abutting surface. The internal thread and the external thread are corresponding internal and external trapezoidal threads, respectively. The third abutting surface and the first abutting surface have a corresponding diameter with a clearance therebetween being less than 0.015 millimeter. The fourth abutting surface and the at least one sealing member are in an interference fit.
DAMPING APPARATUS AND TOOL-HOLDING APPARATUS WITH SUCH A DAMPING APPARATUS
A damping apparatus is provided for damping vibrations of a tool-holding apparatus during machining of a workpiece. The damping apparatus comprises a damping body having two ends on which a respective damping device is arranged, which comprises a bearing pin rigidly connected to the damping body and a bearing bush that surrounds the bearing pin in the circumferential direction. An annular space filled with a damping fluid is arranged between the bearing pin and the bearing bush, which annular space is sealed in the axial direction by two elastically deformable sealing rings. The two sealing rings each comprise first and second abutment regions as well as a resilient intermediate region arranged therebetween. The first abutment region is bonded to the bearing pin and the second abutment region is bonded to the bearing bush. The intermediate region is elastically deformable relative to the bearing pin and the bearing bush.
