A mattress raising inflatable including: a. an inflatable body formed of panels having: i. a boxlike structure when inflated with a periphery that substantially follows a rectangular outline matching or just smaller than the mattress to be lifted; ii. a plurality of inflating sections of the boxlike structure of the inflatable body located to raise a number of spaced peripheral areas and central areas; b. an inflating valve in the periphery and substantially external to the inflatable body allowing for pumping to inflate the inflatable body while not providing an impediment felt by a user of the bed in normal use; wherein in an inflatable condition the inflatable body elevates the position of the mattress or portions thereof relative to the bed base to allow removal and replacement of bed linen such as bed sheets substantially without having to physically lift the mattress.

A mattress rotating system for lifting and rotating a mattress includes a box spring that has a top side, a bottom side and a perimeter wall that is attached to and extends between the top side and the bottom side. The perimeter wall includes a front side, a back side, a first lateral side and a second lateral side. The box spring has an opening that extends through the top side. A lifting unit is mounted in the box spring and is extendable upwardly from the box spring. The lifting unit is rotatable relative to the box spring. A mattress is positioned on the lifting unit and the lifting unit is actuated to lift the mattress upwardly from the box spring such that the mattress is rotatable with respect to the box spring.

A mattress rotating system for lifting and rotating a mattress includes a box spring that has a top side, a bottom side and a perimeter wall that is attached to and extends between the top side and the bottom side. The perimeter wall includes a front side, a back side, a first lateral side and a second lateral side. The box spring has an opening that extends through the top side. A lifting unit is mounted in the box spring and is extendable upwardly from the box spring. The lifting unit is rotatable relative to the box spring. A mattress is positioned on the lifting unit and the lifting unit is actuated to lift the mattress upwardly from the box spring such that the mattress is rotatable with respect to the box spring.

A four-in-one mattress management system and method is disclosed for facilitating various tasks associated with beds of all sizes including making beds; rotating mattresses; holding a bed skirt in place while a mattress is rotated; installing or removing and re-installing a mattress, for example, in order to replace a bed skirt. The system includes an active mode and a passive mode. In an active mode, all four tasks mentioned above can be performed. A passive mode selectable. In a passive mode, the mattress can be easily rotated in a horizontal plane. During that mode, the system holds down the bed skirt while the mattress is being rotated. In an active mode, the present invention facilitates bed making and thus increases the efficiency of the housekeeping staff leaving more time for the housekeeping staff to attend to the rest of the room. The active mode also facilitates installation and replacement of bed skirts.

A lightweight modular bed includes a bed frame unit, a first retaining unit, a second retaining unit, a supporting web unit, and at least one reinforcement insert. The supporting web unit can be fully stretched on the bed frame unit by virtue of the first and second retaining units, and has a plurality of through bores. The reinforcement insert is configured to be detachably inserted in each of the through bores for adjusting flexibility of the supporting web unit.

A lightweight modular bed includes a bed frame unit, a first retaining unit, a second retaining unit, a supporting web unit, and at least one reinforcement insert. The supporting web unit can be fully stretched on the bed frame unit by virtue of the first and second retaining units, and has a plurality of through bores. The reinforcement insert is configured to be detachably inserted in each of the through bores for adjusting flexibility of the supporting web unit.

A mattress-retention system is provided that maintains a mattress in place on an adjustable bed base. The base has a decking with sections that articulate to move the mattress into any of a variety of support positions. The decking is typically covered with a fabric. A pattern of micro-hook strips is coupled to the fabric, facing outwardly towards the mattress. The pattern of micro-hook strips may be contained within only one section, but may also be contained in other sections, or may cross-over multiple sections. This pattern of micro-hook strips interacts with the mattress to retain it in place.

A mattress-retention system is provided that maintains a mattress in place on an adjustable bed base. The base has a decking with sections that articulate to move the mattress into any of a variety of support positions. The decking is typically covered with a fabric. A pattern of micro-hook strips is coupled to the fabric, facing outwardly towards the mattress. The pattern of micro-hook strips may be contained within only one section, but may also be contained in other sections, or may cross-over multiple sections. This pattern of micro-hook strips interacts with the mattress to retain it in place.

A liquid absorbent support cushion for a user is disclosed comprising a first member having first and second surfaces, the first member constructed of a first material in which the first member is substantially liquid permeable and the first material is substantially liquid impervious. The cushion includes a second member having first and second surfaces, the second member constructed of a second material in which the second member is substantially liquid permeable and the second material is substantially liquid impervious. The cushion also includes a third member, the third member is liquid absorbent; and wherein the second member is positioned between the first and third members and wherein the first, second and third members are constructed such that liquid passing through the first and second members is absorbed by the third member.
