A user module for a patient support is provided. The user module is coupled to a patient support barrier, such as a siderail or a footboard.

The present bed rail includes a rail portion and base portion. The rail portion swings down from an operating position and then slides into the base frame between a mattress and a mattress support to come to rest in the base frame in a stored position. The rail portion includes outer and inner frames. The outer frame is swingably and slideably engaged to the base frame. The inner frame is slideable on straight end portions of the outer frame and engages the base frame to prevent swinging and sliding of the rail portion.

The present bed rail includes a rail portion and base portion. The rail portion swings down from an operating position and then slides into the base frame between a mattress and a mattress support to come to rest in the base frame in a stored position. The rail portion includes outer and inner frames. The outer frame is swingably and slideably engaged to the base frame. The inner frame is slideable on straight end portions of the outer frame and engages the base frame to prevent swinging and sliding of the rail portion.

Disclosed is a bed guardrail, which includes a bed guardrail body, the bed guardrail body being formed by more than two base members that are hinged in sequence; and a supporting chassis, the supporting chassis being detachably connected with the bed guardrail body, and the supporting chassis being perpendicular to the bed guardrail body.

A bed roll guard apparatus includes a base sheet having an end portion with an elastic band configured to be secured to a mattress. A first longitudinal pocket of the apparatus includes a first longitudinal pocket inner end coupled to the base sheet and a first longitudinal pocket outer end coupled to the base sheet and different in length than the first longitudinal pocket inner end. The second longitudinal pocket of the apparatus includes a second longitudinal pocket inner end coupled to the base sheet and a second longitudinal pocket outer end coupled to the base sheet and different in length than the second longitudinal pocket inner end. The first and second longitudinal pockets define, respectively, first and second bolster receptacle spaces between the respective first and second longitudinal pockets and the base sheet. First and second bolsters are received at the first and second bolster receptacle spaces, respectively.

A bed roll guard apparatus includes a base sheet having an end portion with an elastic band configured to be secured to a mattress. A first longitudinal pocket of the apparatus includes a first longitudinal pocket inner end coupled to the base sheet and a first longitudinal pocket outer end coupled to the base sheet and different in length than the first longitudinal pocket inner end. The second longitudinal pocket of the apparatus includes a second longitudinal pocket inner end coupled to the base sheet and a second longitudinal pocket outer end coupled to the base sheet and different in length than the second longitudinal pocket inner end. The first and second longitudinal pockets define, respectively, first and second bolster receptacle spaces between the respective first and second longitudinal pockets and the base sheet. First and second bolsters are received at the first and second bolster receptacle spaces, respectively.

A mattress support system for raising a portion of a mattress is provided. The mattress support system comprises a triangular-shaped first wedge member and a triangular-shaped second wedge member each having a first end, a second end substantially opposite the first end, a bottom surface, a top surface, and an end surface. At least one strap is mounted between the wedge members. Upon positioning the first wedge member lengthwise along one side edge of the mattress between the mattress foundation and the mattress and upon positioning the second wedge member lengthwise along the other side edge of the mattress, spaced from the first wedge member to an extent of the at least one strap, between the mattress foundation and the mattress the side edges of the mattress are raised relative to remaining portions of the mattress thereby enhancing support comfort of the mattress and inhibiting falling off the mattress.

A mattress support system for raising a portion of a mattress is provided. The mattress support system comprises a triangular-shaped first wedge member and a triangular-shaped second wedge member each having a first end, a second end substantially opposite the first end, a bottom surface, a top surface, and an end surface. At least one strap is mounted between the wedge members. Upon positioning the first wedge member lengthwise along one side edge of the mattress between the mattress foundation and the mattress and upon positioning the second wedge member lengthwise along the other side edge of the mattress, spaced from the first wedge member to an extent of the at least one strap, between the mattress foundation and the mattress the side edges of the mattress are raised relative to remaining portions of the mattress thereby enhancing support comfort of the mattress and inhibiting falling off the mattress.

A bed rail having an operating position at one of the sides of a bed and a stored position between a mattress and box spring of the bed. To take down the bed rail, a guard frame portion is disengaged from a base frame portion, then the guard frame portion is pivoted and slid into the base frame portion. To set up the bed rail, the guard frame portion can be slid out of the base frame portion, pivoted relative to the base frame portion, then engaged to the base frame portion and into the operating position at a side of the bed.
