The present invention is directed to a portable drill press apparatus for drilling a bore perfectly perpendicular to a surface. This apparatus includes a horizontal base plate having an enlarged aperture and a horizontal adjustment plate having an adjustment plate aperture. The adjustment plate is parallel to and releasably connected to the base plate by a plurality of releasable fasteners extending through a plurality of adjustment slots in the adjustment plate. A plurality of guide bolts extends vertically from the adjustment plate through a horizontal guide plate, the guide plate being parallel to the adjustment plate and slidable along the plurality of guide bolts. The guide plate has a guide plate aperture. A vertical back plate interconnects the guide plate and at least one drill clamp, the guide plate and drill clamp extending parallel to each other. The drill clamp has a variably-sized drill aperture for clamping a portable drill.

A spring is positioned within the interior cavity for biasing the second pin toward an extended position relative to the first pin.

The motor is configured to rotate the drill chuck. The casing houses the motor. The vibrating mechanism is configured to periodically reciprocate the drill chuck relatively to the casing in a tool axis direction during rotation of the drill chuck. The vibrating mechanism is configured to distance the drill chuck from the casing at a first speed smaller than a second speed for bringing the drill chuck close to the casing.

According to one implementation, a tool driving device includes a drill chuck, a motor, a casing and a vibrating mechanism. The drill chuck holds a drill. The motor is configured to rotate the drill chuck. The casing houses the motor. The vibrating mechanism is configured to periodically reciprocate the drill chuck relatively to the casing in a tool axis direction during rotation of the drill chuck. The vibrating mechanism is configured to distance the drill chuck from the casing at a first speed smaller than a second speed for bringing the drill chuck close to the casing.

A connector system for coupling a drill to an input shaft for a trailer-mounted mechanism includes a drill attachment member is elongated from a drill end to an output end of the drill attachment member. The drill attachment member is configured to be clamped by a chuck of a drill adjacent to the drill end. The drill attachment member has a notch extending into the output end and extending transversely through the drill attachment member. An input shaft is engageable by the drill attachment member such that the input shaft is rotatable by the drill attachment member around a central axis of the input shaft.
