Feed oscillation via variable pitch gears
A positive feed tool includes a motor, a power supply coupled to the motor to power the motor, a gear head and a spindle. The gear head is coupled to the motor and operated responsive to powering of the motor. The gear head includes a drive assembly and a feed assembly. The spindle is coupled to the gear head to enable the spindle to be selectively driven rotationally and fed axially based on operation of the drive assembly and the feed assembly, respectively. The feed assembly includes a feed rate oscillator having a spindle feed gear coupled to a differential feed gear. The spindle feed gear is coupled to rotate the spindle to selectively axially feed the spindle. The differential feed gear is selectively coupled to an input shaft turned by the motor. The spindle feed gear or the differential feed gear has a variable pitch diameter.

A power tool includes a power tool housing including a fluid inlet and a discharge outlet. A motor is supported by the power tool housing. A tool is configured to be moved relative to the housing by the motor. A fan is configured to be rotated by the motor, such that a fluid flow with debris generated by movement of the tool is drawn into the fluid inlet and through the discharge outlet. A filter is removably attached to the power tool housing. The filter includes a filter media configured to separate the debris from the flow of fluid. The filter media includes a collection container configured to store the debris. The filter also includes an opening in the filter media through which the flow of fluid with the debris enters the collection container, and a valve that is moveable between a closed position and an open position.

Adjustable diameter hole cutter
A hole cutter assembly is operable to cut a plurality of different sized diameter holes in a work piece. The hole cutter assembly includes an arbor configured to connect to a power tool for rotation about an axis, a drill bit coupled to the arbor for rotation with the arbor, a first arm moveable relative to the axis, a first cutting blade coupled to the first arm and moveable with the first arm, a second arm moveable relative to the axis, and a second cutting blade coupled to the second arm and moveable with the second arm. The first and second cutting blades are selectively moveable relative to the axis to adjust a cutting diameter of the hole cutter assembly. The drill bit engages the first and second arms to inhibit movement of the first and second cutting blades relative to the drill bit.
