Portable lathe machine

A rotating machining device for machining a work piece includes a support housing adapted for mounting on the work piece and a headstock rotatably mounted on the support housing about an axis. The headstock including an internal gear. A drive module is arranged to drive rotation of the headstock about the axis and at least one gear connection is formed between the internal gear and the drive module. The at least one gear connection is positioned radially inside of an outer diameter of the support housing to protect an operator from a pinch point associated with the at least one gear connection.

Tools and methods for refacing tubular ends forming a threaded connection

A refacing tool includes a feed assembly that holds a first set of cutters positioned for refacing the inner shoulder of a pin or box end of a tubular and a second set of cutters positioned for refacing the outer shoulder of the pin or box end. The axial spacing between the first set of cutters and the second set of cutters is fixed and determined by the geometry of the feed assembly. The refacing tool can simultaneously reface the inner shoulder and the outer shoulder, as well as chamfers.

TOOL

A tool for machining an outer circumferential surface of a workpiece, with an interface adapted for fastening the tool to a counter interface, and a base body which is cylindrical at least in sections. The base body has a circumferential wall encompassing a mounting space and is configured to be open at the frontal side in such a way that the workpiece can be at least partially accommodated in the mounting space. At least one cutting edge engaging in the mounting space is arranged on the base body for the machining of the outer circumferential surface of the workpiece. The circumferential wall has at least one chip passing recess which is arranged relative to the at least one cutting edge in such a way that chips removed by the at least one cutting edge during the machining of the workpiece can exit through the at least one chip passing recess from the mounting space into an outer surrounding area of the base body.

The present invention relates to a device for deburring tubes, in particular tube ends. Said device comprises a proximal and a distal end and has a substantially basic body (1) with a plurality of contact surfaces (20, 20, 20). It further includes a shaft (2) and a guide chamber (4) in which a guide bushing (6) is displaceably mounted. A spring (5) is arranged in such a manner in the guide chamber (4) that a restoring force is exerted onto the guide bushing (6). A blade (11) is releasably fastenable on the guide bushing (6). A guide groove (19), by means of which the blade (11) is guided, extends along an outside surface of the conical basic body (1). The present invention further relates to the use of the device according to the invention for deburring tubes (17), in particular tube ends.

TOOL BODY HAVING AN INNER INSERT RECEIVING POCKET WITH RESILIENT CLAMPING MEMBER, CUTTING TOOL AND CHAMFERING CUTTING INSERT THEREFOR
20180229315 · 2018-08-16 ·

A cutting tool includes a tool body having a peripherally disposed outer insert receiving pocket and an interiorly disposed inner insert receiving pocket with a cutting insert resiliently clamped therein. The tool body includes a through recess at least partially circumferentially bounded by a recess circumferential surface. A resilient clamping member extends into the through recess. The inner insert receiving pocket is formed by the resilient clamping member and a recess pocket portion of the recess circumferential surface. A chamfering cutting insert may be retained by the resilient clamping member, without the use of an additional, separate clamping device.

PIPE CUTTING TOOL AND METHODS FOR USE
