COOLING FABRIC
A three-layer circular knitted jacquard fabric includes a first layer having a yarn made from a first material. A second layer of the fabric includes a yarn made from a second material. A third layer of the fabric includes a yarn made from a third material. At least one of the materials includes ultra-high weight molecular polyethylene. The second layer is positioned between the first layer and the third layer such that the second layer provides loft between the first layer and the third layer.
DOUBLE SELECTION FABRIC AND METHODS OF MAKING
A method of manufacturing a double selection fabric including a back layer, a front layer, and least a first and a second blister zone having different physical properties is provided, the method including: inserting in the first blister zone a first inlay yarn between the back layer and the front layer of the double selection fabric, and knitting a second inlay yarn to the back layer, wherein the second inlay yarn is different from the first inlay yarn; inserting in the second blister zone the second inlay yarn between the back layer and the front layer of the double selection fabric, and knitting the first inlay yarn to the back layer; and knitting the first and second inlay yarns to the back layer of the double selection fabric outside of the at least first and second blister zones. Double selection fabrics prepared by the methods are also provided.
MATTRESS WITH MICRO-COIL SUPPORTED LUMBAR ZONE
A mattress including an inner spring assembly, a panel of micro-coils, and a quilted panel is disclosed. The innerspring assembly includes a plurality of spring elements and defines a support surface. The spring elements are arranged in rows defining upper, central, and lower spring structure areas. The panel of micro-coils is positioned over the support surface in the central spring structure area. The quilted panel includes a ticking material, a backing material, and a support material having a degree of compression provided between the ticking and backing materials. The ticking material, the support material and the backing material are all quilted together with an increased amount of stitching in a center section of the quilted panel aligned with the central spring structure such that the support material pre-compresses in the center section thereby defining a pocket. The panel of micro-coils is provided in alignment with the pocket.
Zipper mattress attachment
A system can include a zipper that connects a mattress to a bed foundation. For example, the zipper can extend from a head end to a foot end of an adjustable foundation. For another example, a zipper can connect to a mattress along a seam of the mattress and/or to a foundation along a seam of a foundation. For another example, a first zipper can connect the mattress core to a second zipper and the second zipper can connect a foundation to the first zipper. For another example, first and second zippers can be substantially vertically aligned.
ELECTRIC MOTOR DRIVEN ADJUSTABLE MATTRESS
An electric motor driven adjustable mattress has a shared casing in which at least one flat cushion element of a cushion structure and an electric motor driven adjustable support apparatus for supporting the cushion element are accommodated. The support apparatus has two support parts that are adjustable relative to one another, and that on their sides facing the cushion element are provided with spring elements for elastically resiliently supporting the cushion element. For adjusting the support parts relative to one another, an electric motor driven drive apparatus is accommodated in the shared casing.
ELECTRIC MOTOR DRIVEN ADJUSTABLE MATTRESS
An electric motor driven adjustable mattress has a shared casing in which a flat cushion element of a cushion structure and an electric motor driven adjustable support apparatus for supporting the cushion element are accommodated. The support apparatus has two or more support parts that are adjustable relative to one another, and that on their sides facing the cushion element are provided with spring elements for elastically resiliently supporting the cushion element. The support part, in addition to the spring elements situated on the side facing the cushion element, is also provided with further spring elements on the side facing away from the cushion element, so that the support apparatus is provided at least in sections, with spring elements on both sides along its longitudinal extension.
Mattress containing microencapsulated phase change material
A mattress containing a core section, a high loft non-woven layer at least partially covering a first side of the core section and containing a plurality of heat and flame resistant fibers, bulking fibers, and binder fibers, a ticking layer at least partially covering the high loft non-woven layer and containing a textile layer, a pattern coated layer. The pattern coated layer may be printed on the high loft non-woven layer, the ticking layer, or any layer between the high loft non-woven layer and the ticking layer. The pattern coated layer contains a blend of microencapsulated phase change material (PCM) and a binder, wherein the PCM is fully encapsulated by the binder.
Adjustable mattress using inserted wands
Embodiments of a mattress and methods of manufacturing the same, wherein the mattress includes a body having one or more openings for removable inserts that a user can position within the openings to adjust the mechanical characteristics of the mattress, including the amount and location of support provided by the mattress to the user. Some embodiments of the mattress include one or more covers, such as a fire-retardant cover, that can encompass the mattress body while still allowing a user to access the openings of mattress body.
BODY SUPPORT ARTICLES WITH AIRFLOW PROMOTING STRUCTURE
Disclosed herein are body support articles that offer enhanced comfort, hygienic conditions and overall sleep environment. Such body support articles include mattresses and pillows that have at least one layer of material that is copper-infused. Optionally, such body support articles can have a layer of material that serves as an airflow promoting structure. In preferred embodiments, the layer of material that serves as the airflow promoting structure cane be secured to one or more other layers of the article without adhesives or other securement material(s) that can hinder inter-layer breathability.
NET-LIKE STRUCTURE
A net-like structure has a three-dimensional random loop bonded structure constituted of a thermoplastic elastomer continuous linear body having a fiber size of greater than or equal to 0.1 mm and less than or equal to 3.0 mm. The net-like structure has, in the thickness direction, a solid-section fiber main region mainly including solid-section fibers, a hollow-section fiber main region mainly including hollow-section fibers, and a mixed region including solid-section fibers and hollow-section fibers in a mixed state, located between the solid-section fiber main region and the hollow-section fiber main region. Both solid-section fiber main region-side residual strain of the net-like structure and hollow-section fiber main region-side residual strain of the net-like structure are less than or equal to 20%, and the difference between the solid-section fiber main region-side residual strain and the hollow-section fiber main region-side residual strain is less than or equal to 10 points.
