A cushioning structure includes a first layer of a three-dimensional structured mat of extruded entangled filaments, the cushioning structure includes a second layer of a three-dimensional structured mat of extruded entangled filaments, and the cushioning structure includes an intermediate layer between the first layer of the three-dimensional structured mat and the second layer of the three-dimensional structured mat.

A three-layered topper for a bedding or seating product has a first piece of foam, a second piece of foam and a pocketed spring comfort layer therebetween. The pocketed spring comfort layer has individually pocketed mini coil springs. At least one of the foam pieces may be infused with metallic particles to improve thermal conductivity. Alternatively, at least one of the foam pieces may be infused with microencapsulated phase change materials to improve heat absorption. At least one of the foam pieces may have a coating to further improve thermal conductivity or heat absorption.

Mattresses and improved fabric covers for providing mattresses that have smooth surfaces. Additionally, methods for manufacturing non-quilted mattress covers and for manufacturing mattresses employing non-quilted mattress covers. The systems and methods described herein include mattress panels that can be manufactured separate from the inner core construction, and laid over the inner core to be fastened in place as a sleeping surface for the mattress. Optionally, these mattress panels can include a layer of fire retardant material, that may be added as a layer of material or that may be incorporated into one or more of the layers, such as a filler layer, in the mattress panel.

A reversible mattress includes a first outer region and a core region placed beneath the first outer region. The core region includes at least one core portion. The reversible mattress further includes a second outer region placed beneath the core region. The first outer region, the core region, and the second outer region are each made of latex foam and form the reversible mattress. The first outer region has a first outer ILD (ILD.sub.T1) and the second outer region has a second outer ILD (ILD.sub.T2) such that the first outer ILD (ILD.sub.T1) is lower than the second outer ILD (ILD.sub.T2).

Compressible mattress assembly packages and processes for packaging a compressible mattress assembly for a bed in a box application generally include the addition of a humidifying agent within the package. The humidifying agent provides moisture within the package, which allows the compressed mattress to effectively recover to its uncompressed state when unpackaged with minimal or no defects.

A mattress configured for placement on a foundation that has forced air ventilation with a plurality of air vents on the upwardly facing side of the foundation. The foundation providing a first flow of air having a first temperature and a second flow of air having a second temperature, the mattress defining a first plurality of air flow paths configured to direct the first flow of air toward a first occupant of the mattress and a second plurality of air flow paths configured to direct the second flow of air toward a second occupant of the mattress. A bedding or seating product comprises a pocketed spring assembly comprising a plurality of parallel strings of individually pocketed springs. The strings of springs may extend from head-to-foot or side-to-side of the product. Adjacent individually pocketed springs are separated from each other by at least one separating seam. Each of the separating seams comprises a pair of Y-shaped or U-shaped seams which may be joined together or spaced apart.

A bleach compatible mattress cover made of a non-woven polyolefin material and defining an interior cavity. The interior cavity configured to receive a mattress structure which may include a first and second support structure disposed in the interior cavity. In certain embodiments, the mattress cover has a Moisture Vapor Transfer Rate of greater than or equal 400 to less than 10,000, 7500 or more particularly less than 5000 grams per square meter per day and a hydrostatic head of 100 cm or greater and passes ASTM 1670 and ASTM 1671.

The system may include a mattress comprising one or more upper support members, each upper support member including multiple foam layers having at least one of different thermal conductivity characteristics and different glass transition temperature (Tg) characteristics and one or more lower support members, each lower support member including multiple foam layers having different support characteristics. The system may include one or more pillows each including multiple distinct foam layers differing in at least one of a support characteristic, a thermal conductivity characteristic, and a Tg characteristic. The system may include a mattress topper with one or more support members which each include multiple foam layers differing in at least one of a support characteristic, a thermal conductivity characteristic, and a Tg characteristic.
