Air-conditioned mattress topper
A mattress topper for providing improved comfort to a sleeper comprises a pressure distribution layer defining an interior volume. The pressure distribution layer has substantially air-impermeable side walls and a substantially air-impermeable base, and a top surface having at least a region that is air permeable. Support material is contained within the interior volume. The mattress topper includes at least one electrically powered air circulation device for drawing air into the interior volume of the pressure distribution layer via at least one air inlet port. A lateral air-flow layer is disposed above the pressure distribution layer and is configured to provide substantially unimpeded air flow both upwardly and laterally.
Mattress cover that forms a recessed cavity underneath a mattress and method of assembly of the mattress cover
A method of assembly and a product upon which a person may lie down that includes a mattress cover fitted onto a mattress cover to envelop same. The underside of the mattress cover has a projecting lip that bounds a recessed cavity that accommodates an adjustable mechanism, which is actuated to raise of lower head or foot portions of the mattress. The lip contains filler material such a foam and overlaps sides of the adjustable mechanism to conceal same.
MATTRESS ASSEMBLIES
A mattress that includes a bottom mattress assembly and a top mattress assembly that may be assembled with each other. An internal overlap may be associated with the bottom mattress assembly and protrude beyond a top of a bottom core of the bottom mattress assembly to define a receptacle for a base portion of the top mattress assembly. A cover top and a cover bottom may be placed over the assembly and secured to each other at a location vertically below an upper extent of the internal overlap. The mattress may be modular and, thus, include a bottom mattress assembly selectable from a plurality of different configurations of bottom mattress assemblies and/or a top mattress assembly selectable from a plurality of different configurations of top mattress assemblies. Methods for assembling bottom mattress assemblies and top mattress assemblies with one another to provide a complete mattress are also disclosed.
Mattress Encasing Bedsheet
The present invention relates to a foldable pocket bedsheet for enclosing a mattress. The foldable pocket bedsheet features a pocket-like body and is configured to slide over a mattress. More specifically, the foldable pocket bedsheet comprises a top panel, a bottom panel, a pair of opposing side panels and a foot panel collectively defining a cavity for enclosing the mattress. The foldable pocket bedsheet further comprises at least one internal fabric handle and multiple exterior handles that allow the foldable pocket bedsheet to be easily folded, utilized, and/or transported.
MATTRESS WITH FLAME BARRIER CAP AND RELATED METHOD
A mattress including a stretchable flame-retardant textile cap incorporating a top panel of flame retardant material operatively connected to a stitch-bonded flame retardant textile skirting with machine direction stretch and recovery properties disposed over a resilient mattress core to provided flame barrier protection to the mattress core.
Method For Manufacturing A Cover Layer Of A Fleece Material For An Innerspring Unit And Innerspring Unit
A cover layer of a fleece material for an innerspring unit comprising a plurality of pocketed springs is manufactured by supplying at least two longitudinal fleece webs, which extend substantially parallel in a longitudinal direction and are spaced from one another, and repeatedly attaching a transverse fleece web, which extends between the longitudinal fleece webs in a direction substantially perpendicular to the longitudinal direction, to the longitudinal fleece webs. The transverse fleece web segments are attached to the longitudinal fleece webs such that they form together with the longitudinal fleece webs a frame-like structure serving as the cover layer.
Apparatus for manufacturing a cover layer of a fleece material, for an innerspring unit
A cover layer (23) of a fleece material for an innerspring unit (20) comprising a plurality of pocketed springs (29) is manufactured by supplying at least two longitudinal fleece webs (24, 25), which extend substantially parallel in a longitudinal direction and are spaced from one another, and repeatedly attaching a transverse fleece web (26, 27), which extends between the longitudinal fleece webs (24, 25) in a direction substantially perpendicular to the longitudinal direction, to the longitudinal fleece webs (24, 25). The transverse fleece web segments (26, 27) are attached to the longitudinal fleece webs (24, 25) such that they form together with the longitudinal fleece webs (24, 25) a framelike structure (21) serving as the cover layer (23).
Mattress Encasement Assembly
A mattress encasement assembly an outer cover for an interior cushioning system of a mattress. The outer cover includes an upper section including a top wall having a top perimeter edge. An upper perimeter wall is coextensive with and extends downwardly from the top perimeter edge. A lower section includes a bottom wall having a bottom perimeter edge. A lower perimeter wall is coextensive with and extends upwardly from the bottom perimeter edge. A coupler is attached to the upper and lower sections to releasably secure the upper perimeter wall and the lower perimeter wall together such that the upper and lower sections encase a plurality of cushioning panels. The coupler allows a height between the top and bottom walls to be adjusted.
Mattress assembly and method
A mattress assembly includes a chassis having top and bottom walls and first and second sidewalls that each extend from the top wall to the bottom wall. Inner surfaces of the walls and the sidewalls define an interior cavity. The top and bottom walls each include a first section that is connected to the first sidewall and a second section that is connected to the second sidewall such that the first sections are pivotable relative to the first sidewall and the second sections are pivotable relative to the second sidewall. The first section of the top wall is pivotable relative to the second section of the top wall and the first section of the bottom wall is pivotable relative to the second section of the bottom wall. A spring assembly is configured to be positioned within the interior cavity.
