Mattress assembly and method
A mattress assembly includes a chassis having top and bottom walls and first and second sidewalls that each extend from the top wall to the bottom wall. Inner surfaces of the walls and the sidewalls define an interior cavity. The top and bottom walls each include a first section that is connected to the first sidewall and a second section that is connected to the second sidewall such that the first sections are pivotable relative to the first sidewall and the second sections are pivotable relative to the second sidewall. The first section of the top wall is pivotable relative to the second section of the top wall and the first section of the bottom wall is pivotable relative to the second section of the bottom wall. A spring assembly is configured to be positioned within the interior cavity.
ULTRA-LOW FRICTION MATERIALS FOR LUBRICATING SURFACES, DEVICES THEREWITH, AND METHODS OF MANUFACTURE AND USE THEREOF
A polymeric material mixture comprising a fluorine-containing polymer, a siloxane polymer, and at least two polymer processing additives (PPA), wherein the at least two polymer processing additives have different chemistries. For example, there can be a flexible coextruded pipe for providing a protective housing for cables, fluids, sludge or solids, the pipe comprising a pair of telescopically related inner and outer layers, where said inner layer is lubricated with the polymeric material mixture.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR FORMING A SUPPORT STRUCTION SUCH AS A BED OR CHAIR ACCORDING TO THE USERS REQUIREMENTS
An improved support structure includes a mattress and base support therefor, and a support system adjustably locatable at predetermined pressure attenuation areas of the mattress and base of the bed. Portions of the support system include a carriage movably mounted on a longitudinal track in the base, where the carriage is adapted to receive an adjustable platform or arms supporting one or more slats or layers at varying heights, and a drive system for moving the carriage along the track in a longitudinal direction and/or altering the height of the one or more support members separately. Predetermined pressure attenuation areas of the base of the bed are separately adjustable in the predetermined pressure attenuation areas relative to the mattress to suit different users of the bed.

Mattress
The invention relates to a mattress (1, 1′, 2, 3) having at least one first layer (10, 20, 30), a second layer (12, 22, 32) and a third layer (14, 24, 34), the second layer (12, 22, 32) comprising spring elements (16, 26, 36) and being interposed between the first layer (10, 20, 30) and the third layer (14, 24, 34). The thickness (a.sub.1, a.sub.2, a.sub.3, d.sub.1, d.sub.2, d.sub.3, . . . , d.sub.10) of the third layer (14, 24, 34) varies locally to an extent that exceeds the extent defined by a surface structure of the third layer (14, 24, 34) on its exterior surface (17).
Dual-sided vented pocketed spring comfort layer
A comfort layer for a bedding or seating product has fast-acting pockets characterized by the individual mini springs of the comfort layer being pocketed with permeable fabric having apertures therein. Apertures in the fabric facilitate airflow through the fabric. The permeable fabric is specifically structured to facilitate airflow while minimizing noise. Each seam joining opposed pieces of fabric around each of the mini coil springs of the comfort layer may be segmented, allowing air to flow between the segments.
Ventilated comfort layer
A bed assembly includes a mattress that has rails that define an outer perimeter of the mattress and an inner core defined between the rails of the mattress. Springs are positioned within the inner core. A comfort layer including ventilation openings is supported by the rails of the mattress so that the comfort layer covers the mattress and the ventilation openings are in fluid communication with the inner core. In some instances, the comfort layer is positioned so that the ventilation openings are aligned with coil openings defined through the springs within the mattress.

Inflatable Air Mattress Alert and Monitoring System
This disclosure describes, among other things, techniques for waking a user by changing the user's sleep environment. In one example, a method includes receiving, at a central controller of an air mattress system, at least one user alarm setting, generating, via the central controller, at least one instruction based on the received user alarm setting, and transmitting, from the central controller, the at least one instruction to a first component of the air mattress system to adjust a feature of the first component.
Adjustable Bed System Having Split-Head and Joined Foot Configuration
A sleep system comprises a mattress including a movable first section extending laterally along a first portion of a width of the mattress and extending longitudinally along a first portion of a length of the mattress, a movable second section extending laterally along a second portion of the width of the mattress and extending longitudinally along the first portion of the length of the mattress, and a movable third section extending laterally across substantially the entire width of the mattress and extending longitudinally along a second portion of the length of the mattress, and an articulation system configured to independently articulate the first section, the second section, and the third section.
