Cushion structure, cushion structure component and cushion structure manufacturing method
10632881 · 2020-04-28 · ·

An osmosis membrane is disposed at the boundary between a three-dimensional network structure section and a foam section. The osmosis membrane allows a liquid foam material to permeate. The three-dimensional network structure section is impregnated with the foam material through the osmosis membrane, and subsequently the foam material is solidified, thereby connecting the three-dimensional network structure section and the foam section to each other. The bonded body of the three-dimensional network structure section and the foam section is completed only by disposing the cushion structure component in between the upper mold and the lower mold, and performing a foaming step.

Mattress assemblies that provide reduced heat index during use include a thermally conductive layer and a spacer layer and in direct contact with the thermally conductive layer. Optionally, the thermally conductive foam layer can be perforated. In some embodiments, the thermally conductive layer and the spacer layer can overlay an innerspring mattress core, one or more foam layers, or a hybrid of foam and innersprings. In other embodiments, the mattress assemblies include a foam layer such as a viscoelastic foam layer overlying the thermally conductive layer and the spacer layer. Also, disclosed are processes for reducing the heat index in a mattress assembly.

Mattress Assembly with a Mattress Topper that Includes Pocketed Coil Springs and Methods of Producing the Same

A mattress assembly is provided that includes a mattress core having a bottom surface and a top surface opposite the bottom surface, and a mattress topper positioned adjacent to the top surface of the mattress core. The mattress topper includes a plurality of coil springs, an upper fabric layer extending above the plurality of coil springs, and a lower fabric layer extending below the plurality of coil springs. The lower fabric layer is connected to the upper fabric layer around each coil spring such that the upper fabric layer and the lower fabric layer collectively form a fabric pocket encasing each coil spring. The mattress topper further includes a padded layer positioned atop the upper fabric layer, with the padded layer connected to the upper fabric layer by ultrasonic welds and/or tufts. Methods of producing a mattress topper for connection to a mattress core are further provided.
