A cover assembly for an infant bed comprising a frame assembly adapted for mounting to the infant bed, a panel assembly supported by the frame assembly to define a covered area generally above the infant bed and extending around the periphery of the infant bed in use and a window panel for closing the opening.

Provided is a hatch for a capsule unit which opens and closes an opening of a capsule unit for sleeping. The hatch comprises: one plate-shaped member configured to cover the whole of the opening; and an inward opening mechanism that supports the plate-shaped member so as to be movable between a position at which the plate-shaped member is accommodated inside the capsule unit so that the opening is in an open state and a position at which the plate-shaped member covers the whole of the opening so that the opening is in a closed state.

For the purpose of covering at least the head of a person lying on a person supporting device such as a hospital bed or gurney, a unit having a hood is provided. The unit is particularly a mobile unit so that the unit can be easily put in place relative to a person supporting device or moved away from a person supporting device and taken to another area. The hood has a generally dome-shaped appearance and can be put in an expanded state and in a collapsed state according to desire. The hood is supported on a floor surface through a frame. Preferably, the unit is configured to enable adjustment of a height position of the hood relative to the floor surface. The hood provides privacy to a person and shields the person from external stimuli.

A bed frame and cover that is capably joinable to another bed frame and cover and capably disjoinable from another bed frame and cover and of which comprises a mattress supporting plate which is capable of moving vertically within the cover. The cover is a unified structure of walls and a roof with pivotally connected doors that capably form an enclosure around the plate or of which are stowable on the roof. The entire cover is capable of 360 degree bi-directional rotation around the entire plate as well as vertical movement. A capably pivotable mattress attachment is stowable under the plate or extends to form a contiguous mattress surface of which is supported by rods that connect to another bed frame and cover. The bed frame and cover is capable of a multitude of configurations dependent on bed frame, mattress attachment and the cover's optional positioning.

An off-ground tent includes a bedstead with an upper frame, a first coupler disposed along a periphery of the upper frame, and a plurality of leg assemblies coupled with the upper frame. The plurality of leg assemblies supports the upper frame so that the upper frame is off a ground when the bedstead is setup. An off-ground tent also includes a tent with a second coupler disposed along a periphery of the tent at a lower portion of the tent to removably couple with the first coupler of the bedstead. When in use, the upper frame of the bedstead and the tent are not in direct contact with the ground, providing more comfortable environments for sleeping or other uses. In some cases, the bedstead can be used separately without the tent.

The present invention is directed to a lightweight, packable, all-terrain cot, tent or other apparatus that is designed to fit a multitude of configurations for use in different terrain situations. The apparatus is uniquely supported by a series of arch rods, tail and head bars, and sets of cables, that provide support for weight placed on the apparatus in a variety of environments regardless of whether the setting for said apparatus is a flat surface.

An environmentally controlled sleep pod comprises: a) a main frame having an elevated base for supporting a mattress, a mechanical system storage area, and having walls extending upwardly, with a mattress sidewall portion and rail portion; b) a mattress on the base; c) a mechanical system located in its storage area, with heating and air-conditioning and power source connector; d) feed conduit(s) connected to the mechanical system and extending up the main frame walls to the rail portion for feeding air to above the mattress; e) return conduit(s) connected to the above-mattress rail portion of the main frame walls extending down the main frame walls to the mechanical systems for returning air from above the mattress; f) a control device for heating and cooling of air at the mechanical system; and g) a moveable hood connected to the main frame and having an open position and a closed position.

A body support structure includes a base and a cushion moveable between a seating configuration and a sleeping configuration. The cushion may include foldable first and second sections. In one embodiment, a spacer includes first and second support surfaces, and is pivotal between an upright position, wherein the first support surface engages and supports the cushion in the seating configuration, and a down position, wherein the second support surface engages and supports the cushion in the sleeping configuration. Methods of reconfiguring a body support structure are also provided.

A sun shade blocks or inhibits ultraviolet radiation emitted by the sun from reaching the head of a user. Positioning of supporting stations of the sun shade relative to a base is adjustable so that shading provided by a canopy of the sun shade can be user selected. Positioning of the canopy along the stanchions may also be adjustable. The sun shade is usable as a stand alone device, or it may be attached to other devices such as beach chairs or lounge chairs.

A pop up cover for a crib is provided for providing a safe, comfortable and isolated environment for a child in a crib. The pop-up cover may be made of breathable fabric panels having an integrated frame, for example a flexible frame, which can be folded (collapsed) on itself, for example when folded in specific ways if appropriate force is applied and which keeps the fabric in a taught, open position when unfolded (preventing the panels form falling inwards onto each other). The pop up cover can be lightweight and compact, quick and easy to set up, dark inside and breathable.
