VIBRATION-DAMPED HIGH-SPEED TOOL HOLDER
A high-speed tool holder includes: a tool shaft for accommodating a tool at its first end, and a machine clamping part which is integrally connected to the tool shaft and forms an interface for clamping in the machine; with the tool shaft being substantially truncated circular cone-shaped, a first diameter at the first end with the tool insertion opening being smaller than a fifth diameter at the second end at the machine clamping part; and a portion of the substantially truncated circular cone-shaped tool shaft having an outwardly bulging, preferably spherical, shape between the tool insertion opening and the machine clamping part.
DEVICE FOR COUPLING AND CENTERING TOOLS
A device for coupling and centering tools has a tubular portion with a coupling seat laterally delimited by a cylindrical centering surface, a first threaded hole with a first tightening dowel projecting into the coupling seat, a second threaded hole with a second tightening end projecting into the coupling seat, a third hole tangential to the centering surface and a locking pin removably lockable in the third hole in a position interfering with the coupling seat, and removable from the third hole to free the coupling seat.
TOOL RECEPTACLE WITH DAMPING ELEMENT
A tool holder is provided comprising a base body for coupling with a drive spindle that can be driven rotatingly, whereon a clamping chuck for clamping a tool is provided, further comprising a damping element arranged between the base body and the clamping chuck, wherein the damping element is made of an elastomeric material or of a shape memory alloy, and wherein the clamping chuck is solely connected to the base body by means of the damping element.
TOOL HOLDER WITH FLUID SUPPLY
A tool holder is disclosed for holding a tool shaft of a tool, the tool holder having a receiving bore for receiving the tool shaft in a predetermined axial position, having a seal at an inner end of the receiving bore, and further comprising a coolant supply from a machine-side into a bore of the tool shaft, wherein the seal has an at least partially elastically deformable sealing element.
Multi-Part Modular Tool
A multi-part modular tool rotatable about a longitudinal tool axis (A), comprising: a machining head; a first holding element comprising a body elongated along the longitudinal axis (A) of the tool, in which a passage extends along the longitudinal axis (A) of the tool; a second holding element which can extend in the passage of the first holding element; wherein the machining head can be connected to the second holding element in such a way that the machining head is fixed firmly to the first holding element at least in the axial direction (A) and/or in the radial direction (R), and wherein the passage of the first holding element and the second holding element are adapted to one another such that during a connection process in which the machining head is connected to the second holding element, the second holding element is movable relative to the first holding element.
Clamping apparatus
The invention relates to a clamping apparatus (1) for clamping a workpiece (100), which is or is to be toothed and has an axis of rotation, onto a spindle, which can be rotationally driven and has a spindle axis defining an axial direction (A), with a clamping mechanism (20), which converts an axial force (FA) transferred via a force transfer device (10) into a clamping force (Fg) directed radially to the spindle axis, wherein the force transfer device (10) has a first section (12) movably guided by a guide arrangement (30) in relation to a movement having an axial direction component, wherein the first section (12) is segmented into several transfer elements (12a, 12b, 12c, 12d) spaced apart from one another in a circumferential direction.
Rotating chuck with coolant groove arrangement
A rotating chuck includes a coolant groove arrangement integrally along a shank-receiving bore of the rotating chuck. The groove arrangement defines a flow path in fluid communication with front and rear bore ends. The groove arrangement includes one or more slanted groove portions opening out to, and being inwardly inclined towards, a front chuck end of the rotating chuck.
Sealing system for a tool holder
The present invention concerns a sealing system for a tool holder of a fluid-assisted axial machining or milling machine, including:—at least first and second seals contributing to define a space for the flow of fluid to at least one inner channel of the tool, one of the seals being applied to the tool or an optional adapter carrying the tool and the other seal a) being applied to the tool or to the adapter carrying the tool or b) being applied to a surface spaced apart from the tool and rotating with same, with 0.3≦Do/Dj.sub.max for Do in the interval [1; 3] in mm and 0.5≦Do/Djmax for Do in the interval [3; 20] in mm, where Do is the diameter of the tool facing this other seal and Djmax is the internal diameter of this seal.
High pressure coolant tube and tool body-high pressure coolant tube assembly
A high pressure coolant tube for receipt by a tool body that includes a coolant tube body with an annular flange adjacent to the exit body end. There is a threaded collar that has an exterior threaded surface. The threaded collar contains an interior collar bore comprising an enlarged diameter interior collar bore surface portion and a reduced diameter interior collar bore surface portion. There is an exit seal pocket defined by an exit-facing flange surface of the annular flange and a reduced diameter body section and the enlarged diameter interior collar bore surface portion. There is an entrance seal assembly pocket defined by an entrance-facing flange surface of the annular flange and a reduced diameter body section and the enlarged diameter interior collar bore surface portion. An exit seal is in the exit seal pocket. An entrance seal assembly is in the entrance seal assembly pocket wherein the entrance seal assembly comprises an entrance seal sandwiched by a pair of thermoplastic polyester elastomeric rings.
