Heat-Resistant Sleep Articles
The invention is that of heat-resistant sleep articles comprising a latex core material with polyurethane encasement. The latex core with polyurethane encasement may be incorporated into laminated sleep articles such as mattresses or used in hybrid configurations with metal innersprings and the like. The heat-resistant sleep articles described herein are designed incorporate latex core materials into articles of manufacture that meet or exceed the flammability standards administered by the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission. In one embodiment, the invention comprises a laminated inner mattress material comprising a layer of latex encased in one or more layers of protective polyurethane foam and further comprising one or more additional layers of polyurethane or polyurethane gel swirl material. In another embodiment, the polyurethane-encased latex core may be used in conjunction with a metal innerspring as an upholstery material for a hybrid mattress.
Fire Retardant Mattress Core Cap and Method of Making Same
A fabric made by the method of providing a non-woven batt having flame retardant fibers, stitch bonding the non-woven batt with an elastic yarn, and heat setting the stitch bonded, non-woven batt. The stich bonded non-woven batt is exposed to a temperature in a range of 65 C. to 200 C. for a period in a range of 30 seconds to 120 seconds. COLLAPSIBLE MATTRESS
A generally rectangular mattress formed in three foldable sections. The mattress has pairs of cut-out sections on either side of the lateral centre line of the mattress to provide means for the mattress to fold at those sections in opposing directions.
REGIMEN MATTRESS
The present disclosure relates to a regimen mattress. The regimen mattress includes a memory foam, a high density (HD) foam below the memory foam, and a cover covering the memory foam and the HD foam together to form the entire mattress. The HD foam contains functional additives. The regimen mattress effectively improves the user's health condition through adding functional additives into the foam layer that is far away from the user.
Flame-retardant lyocell fibers and use thereof in flame barriers
The present invention relates to flame-retardant Lyocell fibers which include incorporated inorganic additives which are particularly suited for use in flame barriers for articles of manufacture, such as mattresses and upholstered furniture applications.
STOWABLE BED
A self-inflating stowable bed. The bed includes one or more self-inflating chambers, with each of the self-inflating chambers having one or more polyurethane foam sections therein, with the chamber defined between a first air impervious layer and a second air impervious layer. The self-inflating bed may be evacuated by a household or shop vacuum, and then sealed, rolled or folded, and easily stored or shipped. The polyurethane foam sections may be provided with different members having different indentation force deflection specifications suitable for bed portions and edge of bed portions.
Seat Skin Material and Seat Including Same
Provided are: a seat skin material which is composed of a solid knit fabric that achieves both seating comfort and heating comfort and that further exhibits excellent abrasion resistance; and a seat comprising said seat skin material. A seat skin material according to the present disclosure is composed of a solid knit fabric that comprises: a front-layer knitted fabric; a back-layer knitted fabric; and a connecting strand that connects the front-layer knitted fabric and the back-layer knitted fabric.
SNORE SENSING BED
A system can include a foundation structure and a sensor. The foundation structure can have a plurality of deck panels configured to support a mattress. The plurality of deck panels can include a head panel. The plurality of deck panels can have a head, a foot, a first side, and a second side, a first edge along the head, a second edge along the foot opposite of the first edge, a third edge along the first side, and a fourth edge along the second side opposite the third edge. The sensor can be configured to detect a sound indicative of a snore. The sensor can be positioned along the third edge or fourth edge of the head panel.
MATTRESS COVER AND RELATED METHOD
A mattress cover includes a first, face layer, a second, back layer, and third, inlay layer between the face layer and the back layer. The inlay layer is composed of a flame-retardant material. The face layer is attached to the back layer. The inlay layer is not attached to the face layer and the back layer.
ADJUSTABLE MATTRESS USING INSERTED WANDS
Embodiments of a mattress and methods of manufacturing the same, wherein the mattress includes a body having one or more openings for removable inserts that a user can position within the openings to adjust the mechanical characteristics of the mattress, including the amount and location of support provided by the mattress to the user. Some embodiments of the mattress include one or more covers, such as a fire-retardant cover, that can encompass the mattress body while still allowing a user to access the openings of mattress body.
