Vibrating Bed for Alerting Quiescent and Sleeping Individuals
The present invention relates to a system, method and a novel vibrating bed to alert and wake up sleeping and quiescent individuals when a fire occurs. The vibrating bed includes a vibrating mechanism that includes a vibrating motor to shake and vibrate rubber tubes to shake the bed to alert and wake up individuals when smoke or fire is detected by a smoke/fire detector. The smoke/fire detector is wirelessly coupled to the vibrating bed through a wireless communication channel and a processor of the bed receives an alert signal to actuate the vibrating motor from the detector when the smoke/fire detector detects fire or smoke.
STRETCHABLE FLAME BARRIER PANELS
A stretchable flame barrier panel including an interior stretch zone having elastomeric yarns extending across a fibrous base layer of textile fibers and optionally substantially stable lateral selvage zones outboard of the interior stretch zone. In a finished state, the interior stretch zone has substantial stretch and recovery in both the machine direction and the cross-machine direction.
Pressure-based bed microclimate control
A bed system includes microclimate control capabilities for providing quality sleep experience. The bed system can include a microclimate control subsystem configured to supply conditioned air (e.g., heated or cooled air) to a mattress, or draw ambient air from the mattress, to achieve a desired temperature at the top of the mattress. Utilizing supply of conditioned air to provide air at desired temperature to the mattress system, or utilizing air suction to drain heat away from the mattress system, can provide precise microclimate control at the mattress, thereby permitting conformable sleep.
Mattress with crowned panel
Mattresses and improved fabric covers for providing mattresses that have smooth surfaces. Additionally, methods for manufacturing non-quilted mattress covers and for manufacturing mattresses employing non-quilted mattress covers. The systems and methods described herein include mattress panels that can be manufactured separate from the inner core construction, and laid over the inner core to be fastened in place as a sleeping surface for the mattress. Optionally, these mattress panels can include a layer of fire retardant material, that may be added as a layer of material or that may be incorporated into one or more of the layers, such as a filler layer, in the mattress panel.
BEDDING COMPONENTS INCLUDING A DESICCANT
Bedding components generally include a desiccant applied or infused into a selected bedding component. The desiccant can be microencapsulated, applied as a topical solution, and/or provided within a container including a moisture permeable membrane.
Seat Back for Vehicle
A seat back assembly for a vehicle such as an automobile or an aircraft includes a foam support structure. The foam support structure panel is configured to provide a support structure against which the upper body and/or back of a user rests in use. The foam structure may include two or more regions having different foam density and/or firmness.
INFLATABLE MATTRESS
An inflatable mattress has an upper layer structure, an inflatable middle layer and a bottom layer structure. The upper layer structure includes a basic fabric layer and a covering layer. The basic fabric layer is woven by a plurality of fabric fibers, wherein the number of weft and warp fibers per square inch is higher than 100. The covering layer and the basic fabric layer stick to each other by glues, wherein the weight of the glues are higher than 20 grams per square yard and lower than 80 grams per square yard. The basic fabric layer orients toward the direction of the coverage layer, pressing and embedding into the covering layer and constituting a fabric surface laminating material.
Furniture
Furniture articles have an integrally formed shell that generally has rounded features, the shell diminishing in circumference outwardly from a mounting surface, and a mounting portion configured to secure the shell to the mounting surface. A perimeter edge of the shell defines a mounting plane against which the mounting surface is to be secured. When the shell is secured to the mounting surface, the mounting portion is inaccessible and hidden from view. Furniture includes a shelving unit, a desk unit, a seating unit, and a bed.
MATTRESS ASSEMBLY INCLUDING MATTRESS OVERLAY AND MULTIPLE COVERS
Mattress assemblies are provided that include a mattress, a mattress overlay, and a mattress cover that is comprised of a first cover and a second cover. The first cover includes a top panel, a bottom panel, and a continuous side panel that collectively define a cavity and enclose the mattress. The mattress overlay is positioned atop the mattress and the first mattress cover. The second cover, which defines a perimeter, is positioned over and is dimensionally-sized to cover the mattress overlay and at least the top panel of the first cover. The second cover can then be connected to the first cover by a fastener that extends along the perimeter of the second cover.
MATTRESS PANELS INCLUDING ANTIMICROBIAL TREATED FIBERS AND/OR FOAMS
Mattress assemblies including antimicrobial panels formed of porous foam or fibers generally include an antimicrobial including a polymer in an amount from 90 to 99.9 weight percent, an oxidant in an amount from 0.004 to 1 weight percent, and a silver metal from 0.002 to 1 weight percent, wherein the weight percent is based on a total weight of the antimicrobial.
